A Starfield player recently discovered a planet with strong Skyrim vibes, sharing its location with other fans. Starfield features over 1,000 planets spread across more than 100 star systems, and this one greatly reminded some gamers of Bethesda’s biggest hit.
Released in 2023 after around eight years of development, Starfield has been a fairly controversial title. While Starfield gained mostly positive reviews from critics, obtaining an average critic score of 85 on OpenCritic, players had divisive opinions about Bethesda’s space exploration game. While some praised the title’s universe and the freedom it offers, others claimed that the open world was fairly uninspired, as most locations were randomly generated, lacking the uniqueness of previous games like Skyrim.
Now, one gamer named cmidgi has discovered a location on the planet Muphrid IV which has strong Skyrim vibes. Muphrid IV is a rock planet with a temperate climate located in the Muphrid system. Cmidgi built an outpost in one of the locations found on this world that greatly resembled Skyrim due to its beautiful lakes, snow, and mountains, sharing a few pictures of the environment with the community. While the player did not reveal where exactly they landed to find this noteworthy location, another gamer advised fans to look out for “Mountains (Coast)” locations if they wanted to land on a similar vista. The post became quite popular, achieving almost 950 upvotes, and the discovery was praised by the community, which also indicated Gamma Vulpes I as another planet with gorgeous snowy lakes and mountains.
Starfield Player Discovers Location With Strong Skyrim Vibes on Muphrid IV
Despite Starfield being around for some time now, players are still making neat discoveries in the massive game. For example, one gamer recently discovered that Starfield players could spin globes after playing for 1,200 hours. Despite this being a fairly small detail, members of the game’s community got a kick out of the social media post.
Fortunately, it seems that Bethesda will keep adding content to Starfield. Earlier this month, Bethesda teased that more Starfield content would be released in 2025. While the Shattered Space DLC failed to gain traction with some players, other updates such as the introduction of a land-based vehicle were praised last year.
At the moment, Starfield is only available on PC and Xbox, but a PlayStation 5 release for the game seems to be coming sooner rather than later. Recent rumors indicate that the PS5 release of Starfield could be on the horizon, as the PS5 logo has been recently spotted on the supported platforms list of Bethesda’s Creation Kit’s website before being deleted. However, it’s still best to wait for an official announcement before getting too excited.
