It looks like Starfield, a popular game previously exclusive to Xbox, could soon be available on PlayStation 5. A recent leak suggests a specific release date for the game on Sony’s console.
As a gamer, I’ve noticed Microsoft’s been sharing more and more of its Xbox games with PlayStation and Nintendo players, which always feels a little weird. Honestly, I was really surprised Starfield has stayed exclusive to PC and Xbox for so long. It seemed like a sure bet to come to other consoles eventually, but Bethesda’s space RPG hasn’t made its way to PlayStation or Nintendo yet.
Talk about a PlayStation 5 version of Starfield is growing, particularly because Bethesda is promoting new content for the game. A reliable leaker, Billbil-kun from Dealabs, suggests the game could be available on PS5 in just one month.
Starfield PS5 Release Date Leaks Online

Okay, so Billbil-kun is reporting that Starfield is finally coming to PS5 on April 7, 2026! Apparently, there’ll be two versions: a standard one for around £44.99 (about $60) and a premium edition for £69.99 (which is roughly $95). I’m hyped!
If the recent leaks are accurate, you’ll likely be able to pre-order Starfield around March 17th or 18th, so an official announcement should come soon.
The question now is whether PS5 players will be interested in Starfield.
Many were surprised Starfield wasn’t announced for PlayStation 5 during Sony’s recent State of Play presentation. It appears Sony deliberately kept things low-key, likely because they revealed the release date for Marvel’s Wolverine through social media instead of saving it for a more impactful reveal during the event.

Now the big question is whether people who own a PlayStation 5 will enjoy playing Starfield. While the game got mixed reactions when it first came out, a strong new update could change people’s minds and attract a new group of players.
