Okay, so StarRupture is out in early access right now! But honestly, this is just the beginning. The developers have a really detailed roadmap showing all the cool stuff they’re planning to add – new content, features, the works. It’s going to be a long ride, but I’m excited to see where they take the game!
StarRupture entered early access on January 7, 2026, but like Creepy Jar’s previous game, Green Hill, it’s expected to be a lengthy development process, and the team has many more features planned.

New Features
As a fan, I’m so excited about all the stuff the developers are planning for the game even during early access! They’re adding tons of cool things like wildlife to make the world feel more alive, and a Codex – basically an in-game encyclopedia – to help us learn everything. Plus, they’re working on more ways to build and fight, and even more ways to explore the world. It’s shaping up to be amazing!
We’re also planning to add more options for custom game modes, like being able to change the difficulty. Plus, we’ll be adding controller support and a new fast travel system to move between bases on the map.
Creepy Jar hasn’t said when these new features will be added to the game, or which ones they’re working on first.
New Content
The game will receive a lot of new content during early access, including significant changes to gameplay and the world you can explore.
The update features a larger map, more levels and rewards for corporations, plus a host of new content including weapons, resources, buildings, locations, and story details.
I’m really excited about the new content they’re planning, but honestly, it’s frustrating that they haven’t given us any idea of when it’s coming. They also haven’t said if it’ll all be released at once, or if we’ll be getting things bit by bit. I wish they’d share a little more detail!
Quality-of-Life Updates
Expect lots of fresh content and features soon! We’re also working hard to improve your overall experience with things like a new system for managing cargo, better balance when playing with friends, options to make the game easier to enjoy, and dedicated servers for smoother gameplay.
Alongside continued work to improve how the game runs, builds, combat, the game world, and the user interface, we’re also adding updates focused on enhancing the overall player experience.
1.0 Version
We have lots of exciting content planned for the early access period, and even more on the way for the full 1.0 release.
Creepy Jar announced that the full version 1.0 of the game will feature several additions, including the ‘Frost Wave’ update, a new environment to explore, expanded story content, achievements to unlock, and content designed for players who have reached the end of the game.
Currently, there’s no set date for when StarRupture will officially launch after its early access period.
