Many new players of Starsand Island wonder where to find Meat for cooking. The game features lots of adorable animals you can befriend, care for, and raise, so players often don’t want to harm them simply to get cooking ingredients.
Getting Meat on Starsand Island is simple and doesn’t involve any combat! Just head to the town and ask the shopkeeper for Meat and Poultry – it’s a safe and easy way to get your protein.
It’s perfectly feasible to play as a vegetarian in Starsand Island, with plenty of plant-based recipes to choose from. However, some quests or requests might still require obtaining or preparing Meat.

How to Get Meat
You can purchase Meat at Zerine’s General Store in the Ingredients section. Currently, shopping is the primary way to obtain all Meat types, excluding Meat Bites. Thankfully, you won’t need to butcher animals like Cows, Sheep, or Pigs in Starsand Island.
You can occasionally find meat in Treasure Chests, or get it as rewards from quests and gifts from characters. But these sources usually only give you a little bit at a time, so they probably won’t be enough for all your cooking.

Meat Bites are a healthy food made from leftover meat processing, and both people and animals in Starsand Town enjoy them. Players can create Meat Bites by putting Pork, Mutton, Fowl, or Beef into a Separator machine. The machine quickly turns the meat into a few Meat Bites.
How to Get a Separator
I was so excited to find the Separator blueprint! I picked up the “Equipment Blueprint Pack” at Zerine’s General Store, and now I can build one at my Worktable. It doesn’t take too many resources either – just some Stone, Softwood, and Fiber. Definitely a useful addition to my base!
How to Cook Meat
To cook meat dishes on your farm, you’ll need to build a Camp Fire, Oven, or Stove. Some easy recipes to start with are Spicy Boiled Beef, Chicken Stewed with Mushrooms, Stir-fried Vegetables with Meat, and Soup Dumplings.
Certain foods temporarily enhance your abilities. For example, Battle Spirit increases your attack power, and the effect can be applied up to five times for a greater boost.
