You can get a skateboard relatively early in the game, but it takes some effort and crafting to make. This guide will show you how to get one so you can start exploring Starsand Island.

Where to Get the Skateboard in Starsand Island

I was so excited to get a skateboard early in the game! Once I moved into my house in Starsand Town, I started the Crafting profession quests. You basically get to know Zerine, and after chatting with her, she’ll give you a quest called “Become an Apprentice Crafter” – that’s how you unlock it!

Okay, so this quest is actually pretty simple! You basically just need to build a Charcoal Kiln and a Furnace. The Furnace is super important because that’s how you make Copper Ingots. You’ll also need a Cutter to chop down some trees and turn the wood – specifically Softwood – into Softwood Planks. Then, once you have three Copper Ingots and three Softwood Planks, you can finally craft a skateboard! Easy peasy.

How to Ride the Skateboard in Starsand Island

Okay, so I finally finished building my skateboard! Now I just put it in my hotbar – basically, my quick-access inventory. Then, whenever I want to ride, I can pull it out with a single button press, anywhere, anytime. Honestly, riding it is way easier than making it. All I do is left-click to hop on and off – super simple!

You won’t be pulling off pro skater moves right away, but you can jump using the Spacebar. Steer your character with the W, A, S, and D keys, and look around with your mouse. With enough speed, you can jump over obstacles like railings and stairs – and even people!
