Steam Has 11 Big Games Releasing in April 2026

PC gamers have a lot to look forward to on Steam in April 2026! Valve’s platform is releasing 11 notable games across many genres, including indie titles, early access projects, and major AAA releases. With such a diverse lineup, there’s sure to be something for every PC gamer to enjoy next month.

While Crimson Desert is currently the most popular game on Steam, several new games coming in April could take the lead. Steam’s schedule for April 2026 is packed towards the end of the month, but Darwin’s Paradox and the full release of Temtem: Swarm will kick things off well. Gamers will need to wait a couple of weeks for the biggest wave of new releases to arrive.

  • Kiln — April 23

On April 2nd, Steam players will have two new games to choose from: Darwin’s Paradox and Temtem: Swarm. Darwin’s Paradox is an action-adventure game where you play as an octopus named Darwin, trying to escape a strange industrial complex and find his way back to the ocean. Published by Komani, the game also has a demo available now, inspired by Metal Gear Solid, so you can try it out before the full release.

After being in development for a while, Temtem: Swarm officially launched on Steam in April. This game is a spin-off of the monster-taming game Temtem, which is similar to Pokémon. Temtem: Swarm is a fast-paced, cooperative bullet hell roguelite inspired by Vampire Survivors, letting players battle with the familiar creatures from the Temtem universe. It’s been available in early access since 2024, and the 1.0 release brings the full game experience.

In a few weeks, Steam players will have the chance to experience three major PC game releases from April 2026. First up, on April 14th, comes REPLACED, a visually stunning cyberpunk action-platformer with a strong focus on storytelling. REPLACED has been eagerly awaited since its impressive HD-2D pixel art was showcased at E3 in 2021, and a demo is available so players can explore the game’s world beforehand.

The new first-person shooter, Mouse: P.I. for Hire, launches on April 16th, bringing a unique, classic cartoon look to the genre. Players will follow the story of Jack Pepper, a detective voiced by Troy Baker – famous for his roles in games like Death Stranding and as Indiana Jones. Like Cuphead did in 2017, Mouse: P.I. for Hire offers a nostalgic trip to 1930s cartoons, but with a darker, more action-packed experience.

Atomic Heart‘s Blood on Crystal DLC will also release on April 16.

Capcom’s new game, Pragmata, is shaping up to be one of the biggest Steam releases in April. It’s a sci-fi adventure where you play as Hugh, working with his android partner Diana, to escape a research station on the moon. The gameplay combines challenging puzzles with third-person combat. This comes on the heels of Capcom’s successful Resident Evil Requiem in February, giving fans another exciting release from the popular developer in quick succession.

April is shaping up to be a great month for new games on Steam, beginning with Vampire Crawlers on April 21st. Developed by poncle, the team behind the popular Vampire Survivors, this new game switches from fast-paced shooting to a deckbuilding and card-battling style – much like the recently released hit Slay the Spire 2.

On April 22nd, two new games will be available on Steam. One of them, Tides of Tomorrow, is a story-driven adventure game created by the team behind Road 96. The game takes place in a world largely underwater, where players will make decisions that impact both their own experience and the experiences of others. This is thanks to a unique Online Story-Link system that connects players’ choices, creating a shared world – similar to how gameplay worked in Death Stranding.

Steam players will have first access to the new game Masters of Albion on the same day. Created by Peter Molyneux, known for the Fable series, Masters of Albion lets you shape the world of Albion in almost any way you can imagine. It’s a unique blend of strategy, realistic simulation, city building, and tower defense. If you enjoyed the Fable games or like building and managing cities, this is a game you won’t want to miss.

Popular game studio Double Fine Productions, known for titles like Psychonauts and Brutal Legend, is releasing a new game called Kiln on April 23rd. Kiln is a multiplayer party game where players compete to create ceramic armor using a virtual pottery wheel. Then, they battle each other by smashing these creations in a funny and competitive PvP showdown.

The Lord of Hatred expansion for Diablo 4 will also be launching on April 28 on Steam.

Two new games are coming to Steam on the last day of April: Invincible VS and Bandit Trap. Invincible VS is a 2D fighting game based on the Invincible universe, letting players battle as popular characters like Atom Eve, Omni-Man, and Conquest in 3v3 team fights.

Launching on April 30th is Bandit Trap, a hilarious multiplayer game where players compete against each other. It’s a 3v1 game featuring destructible environments and clever strategy. One player sets traps as the “Trapper” while the other three players, the “Bandits,” try to escape with stolen loot. Bandit Trap looks like a great choice for game nights and is sure to be a hit with anyone who enjoys fun, chaotic multiplayer experiences.
