They’ve given away titles from all sorts of genres, like platformers and shooting games, but the free keys are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you haven’t heard of it, Just Die Already is a chaotic sandbox game from the creators of Goat Simulator. You play as an elderly person who’s been kicked out of a retirement home and has to survive in a dangerous world. The goal is to complete crazy, often self-destructive, challenges to earn free retirement care. Everything is destructible, including you! These challenges are delightfully absurd – think launching yourself from a catapult or using your head as a weapon – and involve a ton of over-the-top sandbox fun with things like giant fish, trampolines, jetpacks, and air horns. It’s a game you can play with up to four friends.
The game also features player-versus-player battles. You can create custom matches, fight in four different arenas, and enjoy chaotic team-based combat.
How to Claim Just Die Already for Free
Before April 1st, it’s a good idea to sign up for accounts on Legion Gaming Community and Gamesplanet (links below). Getting set up now takes a few extra steps compared to a typical Steam giveaway, but it’s simple. This will help you claim a key quickly, as only 10,000 keys are available and will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis. The giveaway starts at 8 am Pacific Time / 11 am Eastern Time on April 1st, so join the queue as soon as it opens!
- Log in/Create an Account on the Legion Gaming Community Site
- Visit the Event Page for the Just Die Already Giveaway
- Make sure your Steam account is linked to your Legion Gaming Community account (instructions on Event Page)
- Once through the line, you will have 10 minutes to claim your key.
- Click “claim” to unlock your key voucher. You may need to reload the page one time.
- Once you have your key voucher, redeem it on Gamesplanet for a Steam Key.
- Have an Unlimited Steam Account, meaning you’ve spent $5 on the platform before.
- Navigate to Steam –> Games –> Activate a Product on Steam
- Download and Play
