Steam is offering another free game to its users! This time, you can add Zomborg to your collection until October 6th. With spooky season here, many Steam users are probably searching for horror games, and this is a great way to start!
Fortunately, Steam has a wide variety of amazing horror games. Most of the Resident Evil titles from Capcom can be played on Steam, and newer games like Silent Hill f are also easily accessible there. If you’re a Steam user looking for a scary game to play without spending money, check out Zomborg, which is available for free until October 6.
Zomborg is Free on Steam for a Limited Time
Steam is giving away Zomborg for free until October 6th at 12:00pm PT. First released in 2017, Zomborg puts you in charge of a team of mercenaries tasked with retrieving vital data from a zombie-infested quarantine zone. In Zomborg, you can create and customize your own character and battle zombies using a range of different weapons. While Steam players have given the game “Mixed” reviews, it’s free, so it’s worth a look! If you want to try Zomborg, you have until October 6th to claim it and add it to your library permanently.

PC gamers who weren’t able to get Zomborg don’t need to stress. Steam regularly offers free games, so there will likely be more chances to grab freebies before the month is over. In general, PC gamers are lucky when it comes to free games, particularly if they use other platforms too. The Epic Games Store, for instance, gives away free games every week, and the latest selection is available now.

Now that PC gamers have added Zomborg to their Steam collection, they might want to check out the latest free games available on the Epic Games Store. Currently, you can get a $100 value bundle featuring Firestone Online Idle RPG and the early access survival game Nightingale. These freebies from the EGS are available until October 9th, after which they’ll be replaced with Gravity Circuit and the Rogue Journeyman bundle for Albion Online. The Epic Games Store will continue offering free games throughout the rest of 2025, and it’s likely the program will return in 2026. Plus, there will almost certainly be more free games to claim on Steam, so PC gamers should stay alert if they want to expand their digital game libraries without spending any money.
