Steam’s new Personal Calendar makes it easy to find games you’ll love by showing you upcoming releases and suggesting titles just for you.
The Personal Calendar is a new feature coming to Steam as part of the Steam Labs program. It’s designed to help players discover games they’ll love by showcasing both new releases and upcoming titles, all tailored to their individual interests. Because it’s a Steam Labs experiment, the company will be collecting feedback to improve the feature over time.
How Does Steam’s Personal Calendar Work?
A new Steam feature, detailed in a recent blog post, helps you discover games you might like by looking at what players with similar gaming habits are wishing for and actively playing. It focuses on games people really invest time in – not just those they briefly try out – to provide more relevant recommendations.
Steam’s release calendar is updated every day with the newest information. It shows you a list of upcoming games – specifically the ones we think you’ll like most – organized by release date, so you can easily see what’s coming. The calendar also includes games you’ve added to your wishlist. It currently only displays weekdays because most games launch during the week, allowing for more space to showcase all the upcoming releases.
You can personalize your experience with options to filter games by tags and choose how many results to display. The page also automatically filters games based on your preferences, like whether you want to see Early Access titles, exclude certain games or tags, and control the amount of mature content shown.
