Stellar Blade comes to PC next month with new armor to cover up Eve’s woefully exposed ears

The fast-paced action game that bears a resemblance to Nier: Automata when viewed from afar, titled Stellar Blade, has officially been scheduled for release on PC on June 11th.

Essentially, this version of the game includes DLC that allows the main character, Eve, to don the outfit originally belonging to character 2B from Nier: Automata. Since it’s a complete edition, it encompasses all additional content previously released for PlayStation 5 players, such as Nikke DLC and various other outfits designed for Eve.

If you choose to pre-order, you might receive something extraordinary: ear guards. As the trailer describes it, these are curved metallic pieces designed to safeguard Eve’s delicate ears from the chilling terrors of Stellar Blade. Who needs horse armor anymore? We’re in the age of ear guard protection now!

In a third-person action game like this, it’s hard to understand why a few pixels on an ear would matter over an entire outfit, but I suppose there needed to be some incentive for early purchase. One possible use could be the game’s photo mode, which makes the pre-order bonus, a pair of glasses, seem more reasonable. The selfies taken with these glasses are likely to become quite popular.

The upcoming PC version of this game offers Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3 upscaling technologies, allowing for optimal frame rate performance. It caters to both standard 21:9 ultrawide and advanced 32:9 super ultrawide screen resolutions. Moreover, it’s designed to run smoothly even on less powerful hardware – a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or any newer model should suffice.

There’s a fresh challenge with a new boss to battle against, and the reward is a snazzy new outfit! Plus, you’ll get fully-backed Chinese and Japanese voiceovers, along with expressive facial animations during the cutscenes.

You will also be investing in what will probably be a very popular game for modders, if you’re into that sort of thing. (I will be like Wes and will avoid the NexusMods page at all costs.)

Stellar Blade’s Steam page is updated and ready for its PC debut next month.
