On June 11, Stellar Blade will debut on PC, however, it’s unusual that the Steam version won’t be accessible in more than 130 countries. This unexpected news has caught developer Shift Up off guard, as they have been receiving numerous messages on their social media platforms from players who are disappointed because they can’t purchase the game due to regional restrictions, as evidenced by screenshots they’ve shared.
In major markets such as Europe and the U.S., the game remains accessible, however, it is unplayable for users residing in countries like Bangladesh, Fiji, and Botswana.
In other words, it appears we’re dealing with a situation reminiscent of Helldivers 2. Upon its PC release, players were forced to connect their game to a PlayStation Network account, which led to a significant uproar and resulted in the feature being withdrawn. Consequently, the game was not available for purchase in several countries due to this controversy. The root cause remains unclear at this moment.
Although Stellar Blade doesn’t mandate a PlayStation Network (PSN) account for playing on PC, one of the upcoming costumes for the game can only be obtained if your Steam account is linked with Sony’s service. Additionally, it’s important to note that PSN isn’t included in the list of countries restricted from accessing the service.

As an excited fan counting down the days till next month, I can’t help but share that Stellar Blade is gearing up to deliver some stunning visual upgrades. You’ll be able to take advantage of advanced technologies like Nvidia DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3 for a smoother, more immersive gaming experience. Plus, there’s a wealth of fresh content in store!
25 brand new Nano Suits will be incorporated into the game, giving you an opportunity to showcase your abilities by battling Mann, Xionn’s guardian, in the Boss Challenge mode. If you own a PS5, you’re in luck as this content will soon be available for free as part of the upcoming update for Stellar Blade.
