February is shaping up to be a fantastic month for strategy game fans! A new game called Mewgenics has just launched to positive reviews, and the release date for the Burden of Command: Three Nations expansion has been announced. Plus, another Steam Fest is on the way at the end of the month.

Mewgenics Out Now

Mewgenics is a new strategy game from the creators of popular titles like The Binding of Isaac. It’s a pretty unusual game where you build and command an army of genetically engineered cats in turn-based battles. There’s a huge amount of content – around 200 hours of campaign play – with 10 different cat types, over 1000 skills to learn, and 900 items to find. While the art style might not appeal to all cat lovers, Mewgenics has received overwhelmingly positive feedback on Steam (93% positive with over 13,000 reviews) and is currently one of the best-selling strategy games of 2026.

Burden of Command Three Nations DLC Release Date

Burden of Command is a highly-regarded World War II wargame, and a personal favorite of mine. Great news for fans – it’s getting a major expansion! The new ‘Three Nations’ DLC adds four new missions, fresh unit types, and lets you command the British, French, and Germans in addition to the Americans. Steam Next Fest Starts Soon

Steam has consistently been a fantastic platform for gamers, and one of its best innovations is Steam Fests. These events encourage developers to create and share demos of their games. Each fest introduces hundreds of new titles, and often, a few truly stand out as games to watch. The next Steam Next Fest is scheduled for February 23rd to March 2nd, 2026, and some developers are already releasing demos in anticipation, including games like ShipShaper, Space Tales, and Atre: Dominance Wars.

Crusaders Book 2 Is Out Now

Crusades: Book 1 from Wargame Design Studio quickly became a popular choice for players looking for a different experience than Field of Glory 2, especially with its emphasis on siege warfare. Now, Book 2 continues the story, starting after the unsuccessful Second Crusade and taking players through the Third and Fourth Crusades. The game features 102 scenarios and 4 full campaigns.
