As a seasoned gamer with over a decade of gaming under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from glitches to cheaters. But the numbers I’ve recently stumbled upon in Escape from Tarkov are beyond belief! A player with 1.3 million raids and kills? That’s more than any reasonable person could play in a lifetime, even for a hardcore gamer like myself. It’s either a mathematical marvel or a serious issue that has occurred in the back end. I’ve heard tales of Escape from Tarkov’s cheaters, but bending time and space seems like a stretch, even for them!
Lately, a well-known streamer playing Escape from Tarkov encountered a player boasting an extremely high (and unlikely) total of 1.3 million raids and kills. This specific player has accumulated nearly 9,000 hours of gameplay, managed to survive an uninterrupted sequence of 1,341,434 consecutive raids, and has achieved a KD ratio (Kills/Deaths) of merely 1.0. The figures seem illogical, suggesting either a remarkable mathematical phenomenon or a technical glitch that may have transpired in the game’s backend.
Rookie Numbers
On Twitter, ‘Tigz’ posted an image of a player with some stunning stats.
- 1,342,602 raids
- 567 survived
- 541 KIA
- 53 AWOL
- 1,341,764 kills
Initially, other users began commenting on the post, posting pictures of the same player. Subsequently, someone else posted a picture taken in the next match, depicting that user dressed appropriately (as shown in their profile) and prepared for combat. This implies that it’s likely a genuine player controlling the screen from somewhere.
A more plausible reason seems to be an error in the data, as it’s highly unlikely for a player to have participated in such a large number of matches given that Escape from Tarkov was reset in August. While cheaters in this game are known for their creative exploits, they don’t possess the ability to manipulate time or space.
It gets better, though.
A brief investigation revealed another player with a playtime of 64 hours and an impressive total of 41 million raids and kills. Interestingly, this user’s KD is only 1, but their average lifespan was 0:00. This implies that the player’s raids aren’t even starting before they meet their demise again.
It’s clear that the data system behind Escape from Tarkov is quite vulnerable, as this latest incident suggests. Not long ago, a data problem led to the deletion of thousands of Escape from Tarkov accounts, forcing Battlestate Games to generously reimburse players with in-game rewards.
