The wild guardian of Hel views all, including Atreus who liberated the puppy, as foes. The massive and fierce Garm derives his immense strength from his savage character and colossal size, and his temperament is bent on devastating the nine realms. Despite Kratos’ fatal encounter, Garm returns more enraged than ever.

Ragnarok is the culmination of Surtr, his wife’s heart, and the fire from the Blades of Chaos. Surtr became Ragnarok to ensure that his wife survives, as to form Ragnarok the two must combine.
In terms of sheer cosmic power, Surtr, also known as Ragnarok, yearns for nothing more than the annihilation of Asgard. With Surtr gone, the essence and consciousness behind Ragnarok now focuses solely on this destructive goal against the realm of the Aesir. Even a mighty warrior like Kratos stands no chance in such a battle.
