16 Stronger
Uma Uma no Mi, Model: Pegasus
Stronger is Doc Q’s horse, who serves not only as a mount for the frail doctor within the Blackbeard Pirates, but also one of its Ten Powerful Captains when they expand. Essentially, he functions as a service animal, being his owner’s primary mode of transport since Doc Q can hardly walk on his own. Despite his own weak health, Stronger appears to be just as frail as his master. However, Stronger demonstrates a remarkable degree of toughness, managing to withstand shockwaves from high-ranking figures like Sengoku, the former Fleet Admiral, who is equivalent to the highest-ranked marine.
The rarest form of a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit’s power is more potently wielded by Stronger. It’s plausible that a past user met an untimely end due to this coveted fruit, given the Blackbeard Pirates have a history of seeking out powerful Devil Fruit users and eliminating them. Previously, they managed to take control of these fruits through methods yet unspecified. Stronger’s Devil Fruit imbues him with Pegasus abilities, which in his case translates to wings as he is already equine. He can effortlessly carry both Teach and Doc Q when airborne, though Teach appears rather heavy for the poor Pegasus.

Leo serves as the leader of the Tontatta Pirate Crew, a band of stout-hearted dwarves originating from the Tontatta Kingdom. Known for their exceptional combat skills, these dwarves chose allegiance with the Straw Hat Pirates following Doflamingo’s downfall, an event in which the Straw Hat Pirates played a crucial part. The aftermath of this victory led to the formation of the Straw Hat Grand Alliance, a coalition of pirate crews committed to supporting the Straw Hat Pirates.
In his role as captain, Leo is assumed to be stronger than other dwarves in his crew, given his physical prowess. He’s also unique among them for possessing a Devil Fruit – the Nui Nui no Mi. This fruit grants him the ability to seamlessly join and detach objects, with minimal damage caused to what’s stitched. This was humorously illustrated when he combined his grandmother and possessions in one piece during an earthquake to prevent them from falling apart. He can also use this power to bind enemies together and squeeze them tightly by yanking the thread forcefully. He employs a technique known as Haute Couture: Patchwork, to join multiple members of the Donquixote Pirates, then crush them against each other.

Zoan fruits are known for their unique ability, often described as if they possess their own will. When consumed, these fruits can apparently animate ordinary objects, bestowing them with power and a degree of consciousness. The individual who has wielded the most power from this type of fruit is Smiley, a toxic goo that could potentially harm anyone it touches. Smiley was under the control of Caesar Clown and demonstrated remarkable resistance to both high temperatures and cold.
Just like many users of Devil Fruits, Smiley remained vulnerable to water. After consuming a candy filled with an unidentified substance, Smiley perished and transformed into a hazardous gas called Shinokuni, a petrifying poison. Later, Caesar ingested this poison, gaining resistance to it due to his own Devil Fruit. However, even with newfound immunity to poisons, he was still defeated by Luffy in the end, partially thanks to his newly acquired resistance.
12 Enel
Goro Goro no Mi
Enel belonged to the Birkan Tribe and was responsible for the destruction of his former home, eventually seizing control over Skypiea. He ascended to a divine-like status by dethroning the previous ruler who bore a similar title. In addition, he pilfered gold from Shandia to construct an airship destined for lunar travel. This action garnered him enmity from both Skypieans and Shandorians, who were already embroiled in prolonged conflict with each other. Despite numerous attempts to overthrow Enel’s regime, his forces remained undeterred, maintaining power for an extended period.
Eventually, I found myself bested by Monkey D. Luffy, whose own Devil Fruit, the Rubber-Rubber Fruit, nullified the Electric-Electric Fruit I wielded, the Goro Goro no Mi. This Logia fruit gave me the ability to electrify anyone who posed a threat with lightning at will. However, in the series, these fruits are exceptionally rare and potent, especially early on when countermeasures against them weren’t as prevalent among the Straw Hat Pirates. They enable their users to transform into, create, and command an element; Enel could summon and control lightning. As the sixth member of the Straw Hat Pirates, Chopper was the first to join their adventure on the Grand Line.
Similar to many users of Zoan-type Devil Fruits, he possesses three primary forms, yet he’s capable of augmenting these, taking on additional shapes referred to as “aspects.” The strongest of these aspects is the Monster aspect, which metamorphoses Chopper into a colossal beast boasting remarkable physical strength. However, this form has a short lifespan, and Chopper often faints when entering or exiting it. Thanks to Caesar Clown’s assistance in modifying his transformation-inducing balls, Chopper can now maintain the Monster form for approximately half an hour. This transition comes with a side effect: Chopper transforms into a baby form that speaks like an old man, a state known as Babyjiji.

Not much else is certain about him, except for his impressive physical prowess and leadership role as captain of the Fallen Monk Pirates. He managed to defeat Charlotte Snack, one of Big Mom Pirates’ Four Sweet Commanders (a title he lost afterwards), and stood firm against Cracker, another Commander. Urouge gained recognition among the Worst Generation, earning a 108,000,000 Belly bounty before arriving at Sabaody Archipelago.
It’s still uncertain what kind of Devil Fruit his possesses, but it seems to convert stored damage into immense physical power, causing him to have colossal muscles. Yet, attacks as potent as those from a Marine Admiral, like Kizaru, have managed to overpower him at least once. So far, Jewelry Bonney is the only member of the Worst Generation yet to meet Monkey D. Luffy, but since other characters’ significance has been emphasized, it’s possible that Urouge will eventually cross paths with Luffy.

Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model; Triceratops
Sasaki, who possesses the unique qualities of both a bluespine unicornfish and a human, ingested an ancient Devil Fruit that often imitates long-extinct creatures, such as dinosaurs. Despite this, Sasaki rose through the ranks of the Beasts Pirates, earning a spot among the Tobiroppo, their top six officers, surpassed in rank only by Kaido and his three All-Stars. Earlier in his career, he was the captain of his own crew, but, like many others, he was assimilated into the Beasts Pirates due to their overwhelming strength.
This character possesses a unique fruit that grants him the power of a triceratops, including the capacity to rotate his horns like a spinning helicopter blade, providing him limited airborne mobility. In the series, we witness him enduring multiple attacks from General Franky, even causing Franky to exit the robot with a powerful finishing move in their battle. Although he was eventually vanquished by Franky, his resilience during the fight won over Franky’s admiration as he claimed that numerous finishing moves were used against him throughout their encounter.
8 Charlotte Smoothie
Shibo Shibo no Mi
Charlotte Smoothie, being half-human, has an unidentified Longleg tribe father. She’s a powerful figure within the Big Mom Pirates, belonging to the Three Sweet Commanders – a group that forms the strongest members of the crew, with only Big Mom herself ranking higher. This high position makes her the most senior crew member who isn’t entirely human. She demonstrates remarkable physical strength relative to her size, and can match the combat abilities of the Vinsmoke siblings, who were specifically trained pre-birth to function as formidable human weapons.
Her special ability comes from the Shibo Shibo no Mi, a Devil Fruit that enables her to extract liquids from objects, be it animate or inanimate. For personal use, she often drains liquids for refreshment. However, this power also serves a combat purpose as it allows her to amplify her physical size and strength, as well as enhancing the capabilities of her weapons. This is achieved by absorbing liquids into herself and her weapon, a sword in particular. In addition, she can discharge a wave of liquid for a more distant attack.
7 Morley
Oshi Oshi no Mi
Originally a pirate imprisoned in Impel Down, this colossal character hailing from West Blue was transformed by the Oshi Oshi no Mi, a Devil Fruit that allows her to move through solid ground. With this unique ability, she constructed the clandestine Newkama Land and ultimately managed to break free from the prison. Since then, she has assumed command over the west division of the Revolutionary Army.
Despite being smaller compared to other giants, Morley possesses remarkable physical strength. She’s capable of engaging in combat with Admiral Ryokugyu and sustaining minimal damage as a result. Her Devil Fruit abilities grant her a wide range of strategies. Not only can she burrow through the earth and hurl chunks of it at opponents, but she can also manipulate the ground beneath them, causing it to disappear, thus disrupting their footing.
6 Jack
Zou Zou no Mi, Model: Mammoth
Similar to several high-ranking followers of Kaido, Jack employs a seldom-seen variant of the Ancient Zoan Devil Fruit. With this fruit, Jack transforms into an enormous Mammoth, possessing the strength to overpower nearly half a marine fleet and sustain minor wounds. Remarkably, he can withstand assaults from numerous minks in their sulong state, but ultimately fell when Dogstorm, one of the most powerful minks known, penetrated his abdomen while both were in their sulong forms.
Jack often dons a mask concealing an intriguing aspect of himself: he’s part grouper fish-man. Being a fish-man enabled him to find the submerged Road Poneglyph in Wano Country, and he consumed his Devil Fruit some time later. Despite lacking underwater advantages, Jack is still among the highest-ranking members of the Beasts Pirates, believed to be the fourth strongest member of the crew.
5 Sanjuan Wolf
Deka Deka no Mi
Sanjuan Wolf was a giant who was once imprisoned on Impel Down’s deepest level, being a criminal whose actions were bad enough to be erased from history. He was selected by Teach to join the Blackbeard Pirates, after withstanding a fight with other Level 6 prisoners where the survivors would be recruited. Like all of his earlier allies, Wolf would ascend to the level of one of Blackbeard’s Ten Titanic Captains, having authority over a division of the crew. Wolf is thus far the only confirmed non-human with this distinction.
In the storyline, not much of the massive pirate has been observed in combat situations, yet his Devil Fruit amplifies his existing strength as a titan, making him stand out even among ancient giants. The Deka Deka no Mi grants him the ability to grow taller, making him the tallest giant in the series. He seems incredibly destructive, with some of his more cautious allies hesitant to let him loose without restraint. This could be what led to the events that resulted in his imprisonment. He has been defeated by strong figures like Garp and frozen by Kuzan, both being exceptionally powerful Marines who routinely sparred with retired battleships. It is hinted that even his unintended destructive power might be immense, as he’s usually depicted napping or avoiding fights. This raises the question: how formidable is he when he chooses to engage in a real battle?
4 The Seraphim
Assorted Artificial Paramecia Fruits Via Green Blood
A new version of Pacifista was created by the Marine’s Special Science Squad, led by Vegapunk and his team of six researchers. This new model was designed to replace the Seven Warlords of the Sea. Each Seraphim is cloned from former warlords combined with genetic material from King, Kaido’s right-hand man. There are seven known Seraphim so far, representing characters like Hancock, Mihawk, Kuma, Jimbei, Doflamingo, Moria, and Crocodile. The presence of these seven implies that the Seraphim were developed based on the available warlords at a specific point in time, specifically before Crocodile was expelled from the ranks due to his actions in Alabasta. At present, each Seraph resembles their respective warlord during their childhood years. Each one has a code name starting with ‘S’ and an animal related to the warlord they are modeled after.
Initially, one might assume that Pacifistas, boasting the imposing physiques of warlords and the robustness of lunarians, wouldn’t require additional benefits. However, they have been enhanced further by a synthetic substance called Green Blood. This substance grants its bearer the abilities of a Paramecia user. Interestingly, each clone obtains the powers of its corresponding warlord. For those warlords who haven’t consumed Devil Fruits, such as S-Hawk (Mihawk) and S-Shark (Jimbei), they receive Devil Fruit abilities from those imprisoned in Impel Down. The Green Blood adaptation of Crocodile’s clone remains unknown, as Logia Fruits cannot be replicated by this substance.
Seraphims exhibit immense power, making pirates like Blackbeard adopt a defensive stance. Yet, despite not consuming Devil Fruits, the green-tinted blood flowing through them imposes similar vulnerabilities. These beings follow orders from a specific hierarchy with the Five Elders at the pinnacle. Unlike their past counterparts, they show signs of developing sentience, as S-Snake discerned genuine feelings Hancock harbored for Luffy, which even outweighed her commands given by her controllers. It’s also worth mentioning that Seraphims are partially biological entities, allowing them to age and remain youthful. With time, they could potentially grow even more formidable than they currently are.
3 King
Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Pteranodon
King is the sole known surviving member of the Lunarian Tribe, a group thought to be largely extinct. Previously, he was held captive at Punk Hazard alongside Kaido, where they were both subjects for study by the World Government. Initially, King was just a boy named Alber who developed a bond with Kaido after being freed. In recognition of his own strength, Kaido gave King his famous name and made him his right-hand man. This role continued as King became a member of the Beasts Pirates.
As an inhabitant of the moon, King is renowned for his extraordinary toughness, earning him the title of a beast capable of thriving in any terrain from Queen, one of Kaido’s top lieutenants. He possesses the ability to set much of his body ablaze, causing explosions that can disorient or even eliminate his adversaries without harming him. King’s Devil Fruit grants him the power to transform into a pteranadon, complete with a sharp beak and wings. In addition, he can use his head as a projectile for attack, a method of combat said to have been used by ancient pteranodons when hunting their prey in the One Piece universe. It wasn’t until Zoro reached his peak power that he was able to defeat King, breaking a victory streak lasting over 30 years.
2 Bartholomew Kuma
Nikyu Nikyu no Mi
Bartholomew Kuma, a formidable representative of the nearly extinct Buccaneer tribe, whose ancestors were giants, possesses an incredible power that benefits any alliance he joins. He’s known for single-handedly destroying entire marine fleets and swiftly earned a fearsome reputation, catching the attention of the World Government who made him one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. During this period, Vegapunk, a renowned scientist, boosted his power with cybernetic enhancements that unfortunately compromised his independence. Since then, he’s endured mistreatment from the World Government, most recently clashing swords with Jaygarcia Saturn, and miraculously survived despite his compromised condition.
His Devil Fruit is the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, a Paramecia Fruit which covered his palms with repelling paw pads that provided a strong defense. He can utilize it to compress air, and burst said air into shockwave-like blasts. He can also use his paw pads to repel pain and injury, allowing a person to be healed at once. Kuma can also use his paw pads to compress people into bubbles which can transport them across the world. He did this with the Straw Hat Pirates, transporting each of them to the land they trained on during the timeskip.
1 Kaido
Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu
Kaido is the captain of the Beasts Pirates. His power was always prized, but exploited. He wished to acquire military might and eventually overthrow the World Government. He has an impressive level of physical strength, and is capable of even defeating Monkey D. Luffy. He also possesses a rare Mythical Zoan, which allows him to transform into an azure dragon. His power is such that even after being thrown into a volcano, fans still aren’t convinced he’s dead.
As a gamer immersed in the world of this anime, I can’t say for certain what kind of creature Kaido is, but it’s pretty obvious he’s got some oni vibes, what with his ogre-like physique and yokai-ish qualities. But beyond that, we don’t know much about him yet. His demonic horns are a hereditary trait, as his son Yamato also has them, though it seems Yamato might have some human ancestry too. It’s also interesting to note that some of Kaido’s subordinates sport horns as well, but they tend to look more human than Kaido himself. Some fans think he could be a Buccaneer with ancient giant roots, given the oni-like traits he shares with those creatures. There’s no solid evidence to back this up, but it’s an interesting theory. Whatever he is, though, it’s safe to say he’s not fully human, if he’s even human at all.
