Jujutsu Kaisen is a hugely popular anime enjoyed by millions of viewers around the globe. One of the main reasons for its success is its cast of incredibly powerful characters.
Given that Jujutsu Kaisen focuses on curses and powerful sorcerers, it’s no surprise the characters are incredibly strong. With two seasons already out and a third on the way, now is a great time to look at a list of the most powerful characters in the series.

6. Suguru Geto
Most Evil Curse User In History
Suguru Geto was once a promising student at Jujutsu High and a close friend of Gojo Satoru. He was highly regarded as one of the school’s most powerful sorcerers. However, he later came to believe that ordinary people were less valuable, which led him to embrace a destructive and violent path. He ultimately became infamous as a dangerous and powerful curse user.
Suguru Geto was an exceptionally powerful sorcerer who could defeat curses and, eventually, even people. His unique skill allowed him to absorb curses and then utilize their power in combat.
5. Yuki Tsukumo
An Elite Special Grade Sorcerer
Yuki Tsukumo is a remarkably powerful sorcerer, considered one of only four of her kind in Jujutsu Kaisen. She dislikes the strict ranking system at Jujutsu High and prefers to work independently. Though she hasn’t been featured extensively in the story so far, it’s evident that her abilities far surpass those of most other characters.
Yuki excels in close combat, demonstrating impressive hand-to-hand fighting skills. She’s also skilled in using cursed techniques. While we haven’t seen the full range of her abilities yet due to her limited appearances, hopefully Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 will showcase more of her power.
4. Toji Fushiguro
Strongest Non-Curse User Fighter
Toji Fushiguro was a uniquely dangerous opponent because he had no cursed energy, yet he earned the title ‘Sorcerer Killer’ by defeating and killing many powerful sorcerers. He almost killed a young Gojo Satoru, who was only saved by a special technique. Toji relies on his amazing physical abilities and a rare condition called Heavenly Restriction to win his fights.
Toji Fushiguro was a major threat to cursed spirits. After his rebirth, he easily defeated Dragon, a powerful special-grade cursed spirit, without much difficulty. Had he not chosen to take his own life, Toji would likely still be a dangerous force in the world.
3. Kenjaku
Ancient Sorcerer With High IQ
Kenjaku is a very old and powerful sorcerer who currently controls the body of Suguru Geto. While body possession is nearly impossible for most, Kenjaku has a unique ability that makes it easy for him. He can not only take over a body, but also use the possessed person’s cursed techniques. Currently, he’s using Geto’s power to absorb curses.
Kenjaku is incredibly intelligent and masterminded the plan to trap Gojo Satoru, hoping to create a world overrun by curses. He understood that removing Satoru would leave sorcerers vulnerable and unable to fight back. Many fans expect to see Kenjaku play a major role in the third season of Jujutsu Kaisen.
2. Sukuna
Known As The King of Curses
Sukuna, often called the King of Curses, is a truly evil being who has caused the deaths of countless people. He’s incredibly powerful – considered the strongest cursed spirit ever – and never backs down from a fight. Currently, he lives inside the body of Itadori Yuji, though he occasionally takes control and appears on his own.
During the events in Shibuya, Sukuna seized control of Itadori’s body and quickly began asserting his power. He defeated and killed Jogo, a strong cursed spirit, and then engaged in a fierce battle with Mahoraga. Ultimately, Sukuna emerged victorious from both fights, demonstrating his overwhelming strength and seemingly unbeatable nature.
1. Gojo Satoru
The Strongest Sorcerer In The World
Gojo Satoru, the teacher at Jujutsu High, is undoubtedly the most powerful character in the series. Right from the beginning, it was clear he was far stronger than anyone else. He’s always been confident and eager to demonstrate his skills. Gojo’s abilities, Six Eyes and Limitless, allow him to easily defeat even the most dangerous curses.
During the Shibuya Incident, Gojo Satoru defeated numerous cursed spirits and saved many people. Despite this, he was ultimately caught in a trap set by Kenjaku and sealed away. Fans can expect to see him return in later seasons of the series.
