One Piece is full of characters with incredible and unique abilities. These powers not only make them stand out, but also make their attacks more powerful, helping them defeat opponents. With so many strong individuals gathered in one place, clashes and battles are inevitable.
It’s no surprise that when highly skilled characters battle, the fight is incredible. However, like all fights, only one person can win, meaning even the most powerful characters in One Piece have experienced defeat. Of course, there are a select few who have managed to remain undefeated throughout their lives.
This post contains spoilers for One Piece.
6. Dracule Mihawk
Currently The Strongest Swordsman
- Haki: At least two types
- Devil Fruit: No
Dracule Mihawk is renowned as the world’s greatest swordsman, and his skill inspires fear in others. While his history remains largely a mystery, his incredible power is undeniable. He fights with Yoru, a uniquely powerful sword considered one of the finest weapons in the One Piece world – a fitting choice for someone of his caliber.
Even though it’s enormous, Mihawk wields his sword with ease, comfortably switching how he holds it. Throughout the series, he hasn’t been pushed to his full potential in a fight, and remains undefeated. However, that could change in the final arc of One Piece when he battles Roronoa Zoro again.
5. Gol D. Roger
The Only Known King Of Pirates
- Haki: All three types of Haki
- Devil Fruit: No
Gol D. Roger was the captain of the Roger Pirates and the first person to earn the title King of the Pirates. Even as a young man, he longed for freedom and wanted to change the world, so he formed his crew and set out to find the legendary treasure, the One Piece. His first attempt to find it didn’t succeed, so he brought Kozuki Oden aboard and tried again.
Luckily, Oden proved to be the final member Roger needed, and Roger ultimately became the Pirate King. He encountered numerous strong enemies during his journey, but he always emerged victorious.
4. Boa Hancock
The Queen Of Amazon Lily
- Haki: All three types of Haki
- Devil Fruit: Mero Mero no Mi
Boa Hancock leads the Kuja Pirates and rules Amazon Lily as its empress. She’s an incredibly skilled fighter who can use all three forms of Haki. Given the Kuja tribe’s reputation for powerful Haki, Hancock is considered one of the strongest Haki users in the world of One Piece.
Besides her Haki, Boa Hancock has the Mero Mero no Mi, a Devil Fruit that lets her turn people to stone. What makes this power so dangerous is that there’s no easy way to defend against it. Given how strong Hancock is, it’s not surprising that even a powerful pirate like Blackbeard had to attack her unexpectedly, knowing he couldn’t win in a straight fight.
3. Blackbeard
Has Two Devil Fruits
- Haki: At least two types
- Devil Fruit: Gura Gura no Mi, Yami Yami no Mi
Blackbeard is the captain of the Blackbeard Pirates and one of the most powerful pirates in the world, known as a Four Emperor. What makes him especially dangerous is that he has the power of two Devil Fruits. He ate the Yami Yami no Mi, which lets him cancel out other people’s Devil Fruit abilities and control darkness – powerful enough to instantly cover entire towns.
Blackbeard possesses the Gura Gura no Mi, a powerful Devil Fruit that lets him create devastating earthquakes and tsunamis. He’s also skilled in Haki. With these abilities combined, it’s no wonder Blackbeard remains undefeated in the world of One Piece.
2. Imu
The King Of The World
- Haki: All three types of Haki
- Devil Fruit: Yes
Imu leads the World Government, making them the ultimate decision-maker. All actions and policies within the organization originate with Imu. When Imu approves a plan or has a new idea, the Five Elders immediately start putting it into motion.
Imu possesses a vast range of powerful abilities, each capable of defeating any opponent. Having lived for nearly a thousand years, Imu remains undefeated, with numerous strong characters failing to even put up a challenge.
1. Shanks
Strongest Character In One Piece
- Haki: All three types of Haki
- Devil Fruit: No
Shanks is widely considered the most powerful pirate in the world of One Piece. Known as the “Child of Fate,” he seems destined for incredible things. Remarkably, Shanks doesn’t have any Devil Fruit powers; instead, he’s exceptionally strong thanks to his mastery of Haki. He’s proficient in all three forms of Haki, and even uses the most advanced techniques for each.
Shanks is a remarkably skilled swordsman, having rivaled the world’s strongest, Dracule Mihawk, for years. Remarkably, he’s maintained an undefeated record against all opponents, consistently proving his superiority and solidifying his position as one of the very best.
