Many significant characters in One Piece have lived full lives, growing stronger and wiser through their experiences. Quite a few of them have also become parents, and naturally, they’ve tried to share their knowledge and life lessons with their children.

Often, children inherited strength and ability from their parents, both in mind and body, which enabled them to achieve their ambitions. These children, frequently sons, have become key figures in the narrative.

Loki

Affiliation: Elbaf

Loki is the son of the former King Harald, widely regarded as the most powerful ruler in Elbaf’s history. Despite a series of unfortunate events that turned the people of Elbaf against him and cost him his birthright, Loki remains unfazed. He might not seem like a man of strong morals, but he has repeatedly surprised others with his character.

Loki is among the most powerful characters shown in Elbaf. He’s a giant with incredible physical strength, and he also ate a rare and powerful Devil Fruit that Imu desperately wanted. On top of that, Loki is skilled in Haki and actively uses it when he fights.

Figarland Shamrock

Affiliation: Marijoa, World Government

I’m absolutely fascinated by Figarland Shamrock! He’s Shanks’ older twin brother, and currently leads the Holy Knights. It’s amazing to think he wasn’t always this powerful – he really had to climb the ranks to become captain. Unlike Shanks, Shamrock had a totally different childhood, and that’s a big reason why he’s so dedicated to the World Government. It really shapes who he is!

Shamrock is an incredibly strong fighter, skilled in Haki and wielding a unique sword empowered by the Cerberus Zoan Devil Fruit. He attempted to use this power to control Loki and bring him into the Holy Knights. However, after this encounter, Shamrock departed from Elbaf and hasn’t been seen since.

Monkey D. Luffy

Affiliation: Straw Hat Pirates

Monkey D. Luffy is the son of Dragon, a man known as the world’s most dangerous criminal. However, Luffy has a different goal: he wants to find the legendary treasure called the One Piece and become the King of the Pirates. Luffy has defeated numerous strong opponents thanks to his incredible powers, which include three types of Haki, and mastery of their advanced forms.

Luffy consumed the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, a powerful Devil Fruit that lets him transform into the sun god. He unlocked the full potential of this fruit during the Wano arc, reaching the height of his strength. During battles, Luffy amplifies his attacks by combining his Devil Fruit abilities with Haki.

Monkey D. Dragon

Affiliation: Revolutionary Army

Monkey D. Dragon leads the Revolutionary Army, a group fighting against the World Government. He aims to liberate people suffering under oppressive rulers and has already aided multiple countries in doing so. These successes have made both Dragon and his army well-known, attracting supporters from around the globe.

Dragon’s true strength is a mystery, but most fans believe he’s among the most powerful characters in One Piece. It wouldn’t make sense for the head of such a formidable organization to be weak. Plus, as the son of the famous Garp the First, Dragon likely possesses considerable inherited power.

Blackbeard

Affiliation: Blackbeard Pirates

The recent Elbaf arc gave us two key details about Blackbeard. We learned he comes from the famous Davy clan, and that his father is Davy D. Xebec, a hugely infamous pirate from before the God Valley Incident. This family history helps explain Blackbeard’s extreme ambition and desire to become the most powerful person in the world.

Blackbeard can’t rely on his reputation alone, so he’s worked hard to become powerful enough to challenge the most dangerous pirates in the world of One Piece. His strength comes from possessing two incredibly powerful Devil Fruits: the Gura Gura no Mi and the Yami Yami no Mi.

Shanks

Affiliation: Red Hair Pirates

Shanks captains the Red Hair Pirates, a notorious group known for being incredibly powerful. However, we haven’t actually seen them fight in the series, so their abilities remain a mystery.

Shanks is the son of Figarland Garling, a highly respected leader known as the Supreme Commander of the Holy Knights and recently named Godhead of Science and Defense. Like his father, Shanks is incredibly powerful, and many believe he might even be stronger. He’s mastered all three forms of Haki with exceptional skill. So far, no one in the world of One Piece has been able to seriously challenge Shanks’ strength, and those who have tried have been decisively defeated.
