The next game in the Moonstone Island franchise has been revealed.
Moonstone Island launched on PC in 2023 and came to the Nintendo Switch in 2024. Created by Studio Supersoft and published by Raw Fury, it’s a relaxing simulation game – a genre that’s become popular on the Switch. Recently, the developers shared a first look at their next game, which they playfully describe as neither a direct sequel nor not a sequel.
Introducing Moonstone Academy
The developers of Moonstone Island recently posted a short, 30-second video on Twitter showcasing their game. The clip showed a character quickly exploring a tower, hopping onto a unique bicycle with a propeller, and then flying off, ultimately revealing the game’s title: Moonstone Academy.
Later announcements confirmed this is a brand new game within the series. While there’s no confirmed release date yet, they promised to share more details as development progresses. They’ve stated it’s not strictly a sequel, but haven’t ruled out the possibility either.
