Rocksteady Studios, creators of “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League,” has unveiled Season 4 Episode 8 as the last significant content update for this live-service game. Initially met with generally unfavorable reviews in February 2024, Rocksteady announced just under a year later that they would be ceasing support for “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” on January 14, 2025. The final update for the game can now be downloaded on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Although the concept of “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” initially appeared to captivate superhero enthusiasts, it was the game’s introduction of unexpected live-service features that many argue contributed significantly to its decline. After only 10 months of release, on December 9, 2024, Rocksteady declared that Season 4 Episode 8 would be the final installment for “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League”. In a predictable announcement, Rocksteady assured players that online features would continue to function, allowing them to still enjoy the game with friends.

Following some time with the servers offline, Rocksteady Studios has unveiled the last content update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Now that the servers are up again, gamers on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can start Season 4 Episode 8, titled “Balance”. The latest patch introduces an Infamy Set inspired by DC Super-Villain Libra, numerous potent new Notorious weapons, a fresh Mayhem mission (representing the final confrontation against Brainiac), and various crucial bug fixes and gameplay modifications, including reducing XP requirements for Squad Levels and more.

After the launch of Season 4 Episode 8, the game’s servers will stay active. However, players have the option to enjoy “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” even without an internet connection, thanks to the update in December for Season 4 Episode 7. This update allows players to play through the main campaign missions and all seasonal story missions offline. Rocksteady has not yet declared a complete shutdown of “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” servers, but if they ever do, fans can still play the game due to this popular offline mode that was highly requested.

NOTORIOUS WEAPONS

This collection of weapons modeled after the lethal assassin The Silencer awards an extra 200% damage to any enemy afflicted by Scales of Libra stacks. Its Alt-Fire is particularly impressive, dealing a whopping 1,000% bonus damage and establishing a Silencer Zone at the impact site. Foes within these zones suffer a 100% reduction in damage, making it an ideal crowd control option as you and your team inflict heavy blows.

Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets offer a swift and efficient method for eliminating numerous foes in quick succession. The projectiles from this firearm penetrate through enemies, accumulating Scales of Libra stacks on them. Additionally, there’s a chance that the bullets will electrify any enemies they strike. GAMEPLAY CHANGES
