This post contains spoilers for Solo Leveling.
Summary
- Sung Jinwoo’s growth in power is fueled by his victories, with his potential thought to be limitless.
- Sung Jinwoo surpasses National Level Hunters after defeating them in various arcs, cementing his position.
- Season 3 of Solo Leveling may cover key fights and arcs, offering high-quality content to fans around 2027.
In the popular series Solo Leveling, Sung Jinwoo serves as the primary character, making his rapid growth in strength over a short span of time hardly unexpected. Each adversary he has outmatched has significantly contributed to his development. Unlike many other anime characters, it appears that Sung Jinwoo’s capabilities may not have any bounds.
Sung Jinwoo’s growth is unrelenting; this expansion will persist as long as no one takes his life. Originally, Jinwoo was merely an E-rank Hunter, but over time, his power has escalated, and so has his status. By the culmination of the Jeju Island storyline, he had surpassed all S-rank Hunters. His ambition now lies in achieving the rank of a National-tier Hunter.
Who Are The National Level Hunters?

For those new to this, let me clarify that five people have been recognized as top-tier hunters nationally. Here they are:
[The names of the individuals]
This way, it’s easier for readers who might not be familiar with hunting terminology to understand the context and quickly identify the individuals being referred to.
- Thomas Andre
- Liu Zhigang
- Christopher Reed
- Siddharth Bachchan
- Antoine Martinez
After defeating Kamish, a magical beast renowned as the strongest, they were bestowed with the title. It’s important to note that Kamish had previously annihilated numerous S-rank Hunters, but this group managed to slay him. Their triumph led many to believe their power equaled that of a nation. Notably, four of these Hunters gained powers from the Rulers. Reaching such a level was an extremely challenging feat for even Sung Jinwoo. However, during the Japan Crisis arc, this Hunter succeeded in achieving it.
When Did Sung Jinwoo Surpass The National Level Hunters?

In the course of events, Japan found itself in peril due to an S-rank gate that had been activated. Following heavy losses of S-rank Hunters on Jeju Island, Japan’s situation was precarious. Consequently, senior officials sought to enlist Yuri Orloff, a renowned Russian S-rank Hunter boasting exceptional skills in constructing barriers. However, his performance proved dismal. Upon the gate’s opening, one of the colossal creatures shattered the barrier swiftly, while another devoured Yuri Orloff.
In the absence of anyone else who could stop it, Sung Jinwoo chose to step in. He realized that without his intervention, the country would be devastated. Thus, Jinwoo mobilized his Shadow Army and started annihilating anything emerging from the gate. The immense strength of the Giants made the mission difficult, but Jinwoo’s determination saw him through. He vanquished all the Giants and eliminated Legia, the Ruler of the Beginning.
Beating Thomas Andre Cemented His Position
Reaching and successfully passing a top-tier gate alone is an incredibly impressive accomplishment; this is the moment many believe Sung Jinwoo outshone National Level Hunters. However, there are some who argue that it wasn’t until the International Guild Conference arc, during his battle with Thomas Andre, that Sung Jinwoo truly reached this level. While searching for Yoo Jinho, Sung Jinwoo crossed paths with Thomas Andre.
Are you looking down on a National Level Hunter? —Thomas Andre
Thomas Andre believed in his skills, certain that Sung Jinwoo would face a tough time. But Thomas’ confidence was shattered by Jinwoo, who defeated him decisively in the battle. By overpowering Thomas Andre, the top-ranked and most powerful National Level Hunter, Sung Jinwoo surpassed every other Hunter portrayed in the series.
Will These Fights Be Covered In Solo Leveling Season 3?

Season 2 of Solo Leveling concluded with the Recruitment storyline. If Season 3 has over ten episodes, it could comfortably accommodate three additional arcs. This implies that it will undoubtedly include the Ahjin Guild arc, Double Dungeon arc, and Japan Crisis arc. There’s also a chance that the International Guild Conference arc might be part of Season 3 as well. If so, A-1 Pictures would be able to adapt the rest of the arcs in Season 4, which could serve as the finale for the anime series.
Currently, we don’t have any details regarding the exact release date of Solo Leveling Season 3. However, given this, it seems reasonable to anticipate that the series might debut sometime in 2027. Despite the wait being substantial, fans can look forward to a top-notch season whenever Solo Leveling makes its comeback.
