Summary
- Sung Jinwoo defeats the Ant King on Jeju Island.
- Cha Hae-in’s serious condition poses a challenge.
- Sung Jinwoo’s victory solidifies him as a hero.
In Episode 24 of “Solo Leveling,” fans’ dreams came true as the storyline zeroed in on protagonist Sung Jinwoo’s journey to Jeju Island with a mission to save the Hunters from impending doom. Previously, it was revealed that these Hunters were being pursued by the Ant King, and thanks to a broadcast, Jinwoo’s Shadows managed to save their lives.
Upon arriving at the island, Sung Jinwoo employed his healing potion on the Korean Hunters, and it proved effective for nearly all except Cha Hae-in. When he attempted to administer the potion to her, a message popped up indicating the failure. The system disclosed that Cha Hae-in’s health was too critical, making her unresponsive to the healing potion. Sung Jinwoo then tried the Elixir of Life, but it also proved fruitless. Just as he sought a means to save her, the Ant King emerged within the colony.
Sung Jinwoo Vs. The Ant King
The Hunter Faced His Biggest Challenge
Initially, it appeared that the Ant King, demonstrating immense physical power, would overpower Sung Jinwoo. However, Sung Jinwoo, known as one of Korea’s most formidable weapons, showed his worth. He effortlessly endured a powerful blow and retaliated with a stronger counterattack, catching the Ant King off guard. The force of the attack left onlookers astonished. Subsequently, the Ant King tried to outmaneuver Sung Jinwoo with its speed, but once more, Sung Jinwoo held his ground. He matched the Ant King’s pace and even managed to land multiple blows in return.
Observing Sung Jinwoo’s physical prowess, the Ant King grew apprehensive and decided to undergo a fresh transformation. The new form was striking, yet what truly mattered was the additional tools it provided for combating the Hunter. Its arms were now equipped with razor-sharp claws capable of tearing through human flesh effortlessly. Recognizing that hand-to-hand combat was no longer feasible, Sung Jinwoo called forth the Demon Monarch’s Dagger. He then amplified his mutilation skill to its maximum limit, enabling him to penetrate the Ant King’s tough exoskeleton with ease.
Just who…is this human? —The Ant King
Regardless of its transformation, Sung Jinwoo managed to avoid any significant harm from the Ant King during their fight. As time passed, it became evident that only one participant would emerge victorious. With its life in danger, the Ant King attempted to flee, but Sung Jinwoo intervened in the middle of its retreat. The creature made another attempt to escape, yet Sung Jinwoo persistently thwarted him. In the end, Sung Jinwoo severely injured the Ant King with a dagger, effectively ending his reign of terror. Upon witnessing the Ant King being defeated, the remaining ants scampered away. Sung Jinwoo was left standing tall as the winner, having single-handedly conquered an S-rank gate.
Sung Jinwoo Still Needs To Rescue Cha Hae-in
The Hero Faces A Race Against Time

Jinwoo Sung might have defeated the Ant King, yet there are more tasks at hand. His utmost worry now is rescuing Cha Hae-in from imminent peril. With his Shadow Exchange skill depleted, reaching the mainland will be a lengthy journey.
Currently, it appears that Cha Hae-in may perish on Jeju Island unless something unexpected occurs. In order for Sung Jinwoo to save Cha Hae-in, it seems he’ll need the System’s assistance, as his attempts with potions have proven unsuccessful. The System still holds hidden secrets, and discovering just one could be decisive. Regrettably, if Min Byung-gyu were alive, he could have utilized his healing abilities to aid Cha Hae-in. Tragically, the Ant King mercilessly took his life.
After handling the situation, the Hunters can return to the mainland, where they will undoubtedly be hailed as heroes. Although Sung Jinwoo single-handedly defeated the Ant King, it’s worth noting that the rest of them played a crucial role in vanquishing the Queen Ant. By eradicating the Queen Ant, they prevented any more ants from being born.
