First appearing in Japan in October 1988, the fourth installment of the popular “Super Mario” series, known as “Super Mario Bros. 3“, stands out among the best-selling games for the NES. This game introduced unique power-ups such as the Tanuki and Frog Suits, and presented the Koopalings as adversaries alongside Bowser. Innovative features in this game included auto-scrolling levels like Bowser’s airship, slopes that boosted Mario’s running speed, and a world map used for navigating between levels. Due to its significant impact on the series, “Super Mario Bros. 3” is often recognized as one of the most influential games introduced on the NES.
As a passionate gamer, I can hardly contain my excitement as we approach Mario Day celebrations in 2025! Nintendo Music, my go-to app for all things retro gaming, just added a treat for us Super Mario Bros. fans – the soundtrack from none other than Super Mario Bros. 3!
After quickly updating the app on my trusty iOS or Android device, I was able to stream this iconic soundtrack. It’s been a week since The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past joined the lineup, and now we have another classic game score added to our collection.
The Super Mario Bros. 3 soundtrack boasts an impressive 42 tracks and clocks in at over 32 minutes of pure gaming nostalgia. I can’t wait to relive those unforgettable moments as I listen to these timeless tunes!

The launch of “Super Mario Bros. 3” coincided with the start of Mario Day, happening this year from now until March 15th.
