Supermarket Together: How to Manage Employees

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Supermarket Together has caught my attention like no other grocery store simulator before. The depth of management and strategic planning required to succeed in this game is reminiscent of running an actual superstore – minus the late-night restocking and early morning customer rushes, thankfully!

The ability to hire employees and assign them tasks is a game-changer, especially when the hordes of shoppers start pouring in. It’s not every day you get to be a benevolent superstore dictator, after all! Hiring new staff members is as simple as unlocking Employee perks on the Franchise Board with Franchise Points – just remember to reroll if you don’t find the perfect candidate right away.

Managing employees in Supermarket Together is a breeze, too. Assign them tasks that suit their skills and keep them happy by developing the Staff Room. I’ve found that a well-stocked Staff Room with a few basic items can work wonders for employee happiness, although I haven’t quite mastered the art of keeping my staff entertained with dart boards and pool tables just yet.

In conclusion, Supermarket Together is a fantastic addition to the simulation genre, offering a unique blend of strategic management and fun gameplay. The only question that remains is: who will be the first to discover the secret ingredient for truly happy employees? Perhaps it’s free snacks or maybe even a ping-pong table in the Staff Room. Only time (and countless hours spent playing this game) will tell!

Oh, and if you ever find yourself struggling with employee happiness, remember: a well-fed and entertained staff is a happy staff – just don’t forget to take your own breaks, too! After all, even the best managers need a little time off to restock their own shelves.

Build Your Own Supermarket Empire is an engaging simulation game that allows you to create a grocery store from the ground level. You can fill your shelves with items, determine prices, and even recruit employees – this game provides you with all the necessary tools to customize your experience as you see fit.

As a devoted player of Supermarket Together, I’ve found that the game starts off with a gentle learning curve, with only a few products to handle and a small group of customers to serve. However, once you get past those initial days, the pace quickens significantly! Luckily, having friends join in makes things smoother, but mastering the art of hiring and managing employees is crucial for solo players aiming for victory. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know about effectively hiring employees and managing them within Supermarket Together.

How to Hire Employees in Supermarket Together

In order to employ a staff member at “Supermarket Together“, you need to initially access an Employee advantage from the Franchise Board using Franchise Points. This in-game equivalent of experience points is accumulated every day during customer checkouts. At the end of each business day, the game displays your earned Franchise Points in a report when you close the store, based on your daily profits. You can obtain up to 12 Employee perks by spending these Franchise Points.

Each Employee perk allows you to hire an additional employee.

After getting your Employee benefit, navigate to the Manager’s Board in the Manager’s Office, then select the Employees section. To employ someone, simply click on the Hire option. You will now find a list displaying potential employees, their total ratings, and their daily pay rates.

You can click the reroll button to get a fresh batch of candidates.

Interacting with each team member opens up their Performance Summary, detailing their expertise across various domains. Additionally, you can give your staff members a name by typing it into the designated text field under the summary. Upon finding the desired employee, hit the Hire button to include them in your payroll.

To terminate an employee’s position, navigate to the Termination section, choose the employee whose employment you wish to end, and select Terminate from the options provided.

How to Assign Employees in Supermarket Together

Once you’ve brought on a new team member, they’ll head to the Staff Lounge, which is located just outside the store near the Manager’s Office exit. They’ll wait there for you to give them a task. To delegate a task to your employee, simply return to the Manager’s Blackboard and click on the ‘Assignment’ button within the Employees section.

In this tab, all the workers you’ve employed will be present. Below their details, click the “No Task Assigned” button and pick a task for them. At the moment, within the game “Supermarket Together”, you can designate your employees to carry out these tasks:

  • No Task: The employee will do nothing and just wait in the Staff Room.
  • Cashier: The employee will man an empty cash register and collect payments from the customers
  • Restocker: The employee will restock empty product shelves with products from the Storage Shelves.
  • Storage: The employee will fill up the Storage Shelves with new products after you place a Product Order.
  • Security: The employee will pick up a Broom and stand guard at the store’s entrance to deal with shoplifters and thieves.

How to Manage Employee Happiness in Supermarket Together

Currently, employee happiness isn’t given significant priority in ‘Supermarket Together’. As long as they meet the necessary requirements for their tasks, they’ll continue with their assigned duties. To maximize staff satisfaction, it will be necessary to invest funds into improving the Staff Lounge area.

Assigning them to tasks that are suited to their skills also improves employee happiness.

As a gamer, I can boost the morale of my team by navigating to the staff room location and selecting the ‘Build’ menu. Once there, I can choose the tab for the staff room and start placing some furniture. A basic table or chair might only cost a little, but it can increase Employee Happiness by 0.1. However, investing in bigger items like a Dart Board or Pool Table could have a more significant effect on Staffroom Happiness.

The Employee tab on the Manager Blackboard shows the total Staffroom Happiness.

Achieving victory in “Supermarket Together” necessitates thoughtful organization and supervision. The influx of customers, particularly during more challenging scenarios, becomes significantly more manageable with a team of employees working together throughout the store.
