Surprise Warzone Handgun outshines Superi & Static-HV with best close-range TTK

As a seasoned gamer and long-time Warzone player, I can’t help but be thrilled about the latest addition to the close-quarters meta: the WSP Stinger Handgun with the Akimbo attachment. This underdog weapon is turning heads and leaving many of us in awe.

In the gaming world, a Handgun from Call of Duty’s Warzone outperforms all meta Submachine Guns when it comes to having the shortest time-to-kill (TTK) in close-range combat. However, to unleash its maximum potential, you must equip it with the Akimbo attachment.

The WSP Stinger is a quick-firing handgun that packs a lethal punch at close ranges, yet it’s frequently overlooked by players. While SMGs are commonly favored for their dominance in close combat, history has shown us that alternative options like the Snakeshot and COR-45 handguns can shake up the game meta.

In Season 5, the Handgun boasts an astonishingly quick time to kill (TTK) when equipped with the Akimbo attachment, surpassing the capabilities of weapons like the FJX Horus, Superi 46, and even the recently introduced Static-HV.

With our top-notch WSP Stinger setup, I discovered handguns to be extremely effective in confined quarters battles, particularly in narrow corridors and structures where maneuverability matters most.

Using the Akimbo attachment for hip-firing gave me a mix of hits on my opponent’s body, legs, and head. While there’s an element of chance involved in landing headshots, the reduced time to kill (TTK) makes it all the more rewarding when I do. Additionally, since I couldn’t use aim down sights (ADS), my movement and strafing speeds were faster, making it harder for enemies to land accurate shots on me.

Many people, including well-known Warzone streamer WhosImmortal, are praising the WSP Stinger handgun in Season 5. Using data from TrueGameData, WhosImmortal explained how effective this weapon is when equipped with the Akimbo Rear Grip attachment.

“WhosImmortal stated, ‘Despite the excellence of our latest Static-HV SMG and the superiority of the Superi and FJX Horus, nothing compares to the destructive power of wielding two Akimbo WSP Stingers.'”

Because the Akimbo attachment makes the Akimbo WSP Stinger less accurate beyond 12 meters, WhosImmortal advises against using it in situations farther than that. The primary disadvantage of this weapon is its limitation to close-quarters combat.

During Warzone Season 5, having a versatile primary weapon is crucial. The STG44 stands out as one of the top choices due to its manageable recoil, which is easier to control than most other weapons in the game. As a result, it makes an excellent companion for a sidearm.
