Summary
- Staying quiet is crucial to avoid the Killer’s attention.
- Characters like Laurie Strode and Yun-Jin Lee are easily tracked due to their noise.
- Veteran survivor Bill Overbeck’s loud coughing gives away his position, making stealth difficult.
In this thrilling survival horror game, titled “Dead by Daylight”, the Survivors must outwit the ruthless Killer who is determined to hunt them down for sacrifice. While strategizing and looping can be effective methods, it’s crucial to remember that at times, staying stealthy and elusive may be the key to survival.
Even though survivors possess various advantages that aid in maintaining a low profile and evading the Killer, some survivors are exceptionally noisy. This can make the gameplay challenging because they become more noticeable, and their hiding spots are frequently exposed. To ensure maximum stealth, it’s advisable to minimize playing these noisy survivors when possible.
8. Feng Min
Spark Of Madness
In terms of the game’s story, Feng Min stands out as a highly skilled gamer and possesses an impressive collection of cosmetics among all Survivors, making her a top pick among players. It’s quite likely that you’ll encounter her in almost every match. However, those who choose to play her should be aware of one significant disadvantage associated with this stylish character.
In addition, Feng Min is known for being extremely vocal. Her high-pitched shrieks can be deafening when she’s attacked by the Killer, and they don’t cease, instead turning into agonized cries as she gets hurt. This makes it challenging to move stealthily unless she’s completely healed.
7. Rebecca Chambers
Resident Evil: Project W
In a unique twist, the survival horror game Resident Evil collaborated not once but twice with the hit survival game Dead by Daylight. This collaboration brought a variety of characters from different parts of the series, along with two iconic villains: Nemesis and Albert Wesker. Notably, the character Rebecca Chambers was introduced alongside Wesker in these crossovers.
One of the key members within S.T.A.R.S., Rebecca, serves as the team’s medic. Given her frequent role in healing others, it might be that she isn’t accustomed to enduring injuries herself. This could account for her noticeable loudness following a strike by the Killer; her groans of pain are undeniably a clear guide for any nearby Killer who can track down Rebecca’s location simply by following the audible cues.
6. Yun-Jin Lee
All-Kill
In the thrilling saga of All-Kill, I, Yun-Jin Lee, stepped onto the scene alongside the elusive Trickster. Known for my unyielding spirit and relentless pursuit of excellence in the world of music production, I’ve taken on a new challenge: molding a prodigious protege into a chart-topping sensation. However, as his music becomes more and more enigmatic, whispers of suspicion are starting to circulate.
I must admit, Yun-Jin Lee’s reaction to pain and bloodshed is as loud as a trumpet blare, making it impossible for anyone to ignore the danger that lurks nearby. Her piercing scream when caught by a hook is enough to make your ears ring, a sound that leaves no doubt in the minds of fellow Survivors about the Killer’s progress towards a potential sacrifice. So, there’s really no excuse for her teammates not to leap into action and try to save her.
5. Laurie Strode
Halloween
Laurie Strode is renowned as one of the most resilient ‘surviving heroines’ in cinema history, having outlived multiple lethal encounters orchestrated by Michael Myers, despite her advanced age not allowing for the same agility she once possessed. Fans of Halloween may recall that these life-or-death struggles were anything but silent, filled with shrieks and gasps of intense fear.
In the game of Dead by Daylight, Laurie’s role hasn’t undergone significant alterations. Similar to many other loud Survivors, her distress calls when injured reveal her whereabouts clearly. However, even when healthy, Laurie tends to make some noticeable noises during activities like vaulting, running, or performing any action. These subtle sounds can be detected by vigilant Killers.
4. Jeff Johansen
Darkness Among Us
In a sense, Jeff Johansen is similar to Legion, a group of four masked antagonists from Survivor, who initially led normal lives as students either eagerly attending or deliberately avoiding college. However, instead of continuing on their educational paths, they found themselves enveloped in the fog, sharing this experience with Jeff.
Jeff, a metalhead, is anything but understated; his wardrobe aligns closely with his passions, and his booming breaths and agonized groans are among the most audible in the game. Players looking to embody Jeff might consider utilizing stealth-oriented perks, like Iron Will, for a quieter approach.
3. Meg Thomas
Base Game
Among the four initial survivors in the game, every player is granted immediate access to Meg Thomas right from the start. Meg’s unique abilities, including Sprint Burst and Adrenaline, serve as valuable assets for new players embarking on their journey within Dead by Daylight.
On the downside, Meg stands out as one of the most vocally intense Survivors during the game. Contrary to her athletic appearance, it seems her breathlessness is quite pronounced, suggesting even a brief jog leaves her huffing and puffing as if she’s reached her breathing limit.
2. Ashley J. Williams
Ash Vs Evil Dead
Prior to his participation in the trials, Ash had been accustomed to battling for survival against menacing and malevolent deadites in the Evil Dead movie series and TV show. However, it appears that he encounters an equally formidable adversary in the Killers of Dead by Daylight.
Despite not being physically hurt, Ash produces a significant amount of noise during activities like running and fixing generators, drawing attention much like other injured Survivors do. Playing the iconic horror character comes with a notable cost in terms of noise levels.
1. William “Bill” Overbeck
Left Behind
As a seasoned survivor hailing from the game “Left 4 Dead,” it was both anticipated and unexpected when character Bill appeared in “Dead by Daylight.” However, what players may not have anticipated was how incredibly loud this character turned out to be.
Bill seems to be striving to outdo others as the most boisterous Survivor in Dead by Daylight, given his constant hacking and coughing during each challenge, particularly when he is wounded. The smoker’s lungs of any Bill player are immediately recognizable, as they clearly reveal his location to the Killer, even from a distance. Fortunately for him, this doesn’t prevent him from fleeing for safety whenever the Killer eventually locates him.
