Switch 2 Gamers Should Circle January 22 on Their Calendars

The Nintendo Switch 2, which came out last June, has consistently received a flow of new games – everything from titles you can only play on Switch 2 to games originally made for other systems. Players have plenty of options across all kinds of genres, and even more new games are on the way.

Over the next six months, owners of the new Switch 2 will have several games to enjoy, including Mario Tennis Fever – which features the biggest character lineup ever for the series – and the charming Pokemon Pokopia, a game that blends the worlds of Pokemon and Minecraft. It’s unusual to see so many new Switch games released close together, as they’re normally spaced out.

On January 22nd, Nintendo Switch 2 owners have a lot to look forward to, with three new games launching on the same day! These include Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, and The Rumble Fish 2: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. While these games are all from different developers, they’re all definitely worth checking out for Switch 2 players.

New Switch 2 Games Releasing on January 22

  • Dynasty Warriors: Origins
  • Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade
  • The Rumble Fish 2: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

As a big fan of action games, I’m really excited about Dynasty Warriors: Origins! It’s the newest game in the Dynasty Warriors series – you basically battle tons of enemies at once, and it’s a ton of fun. It actually came out on other consoles last year and people really liked it – it’s considered one of the best Dynasty Warriors games yet! If you enjoyed Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment on your Switch and are looking for another game like that, you absolutely should check out Dynasty Warriors: Origins when it comes out on January 22nd.

On the same day, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will be available on Nintendo’s new console, the Switch 2. This version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake includes extra content and introduces the popular character Yuffie. Because Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is a demanding game visually, its release on the Switch 2 suggests the console has impressive capabilities.

I’m really excited about all the Switch 2 launch titles, and while The Rumble Fish 2 might not be getting as much attention as some of the others, it definitely caught my eye! It’s a 2D fighting game made by Dimps and Sega, and this Switch 2 version has some cool new stuff – a Team Battle mode and better graphics than the original on Switch 1. Plus, the best part is they’re letting Switch 1 and Switch 2 players battle each other, so I won’t have to leave my friends behind when I upgrade!

Other Switch 2 Games Releasing Later This Month

  • Mio: Memories in Orbit – January 20
  • Core Keeper – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition – January 28
  • Dispatch – January 28

January 22nd will be a big day for Nintendo Switch 2 owners with the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, and The Rumble Fish 2. But that’s not all – there are several other important release dates Switch 2 fans should keep an eye on.

Get ready for some new games on the Switch 2! On January 20th, the visually appealing Metroidvania game Mio: Memories in Orbit will be released. Then, on January 28th, Core Keeper will launch alongside Dispatch. Dispatch is a well-received episodic adventure game about superheroes that originally came out last year and promises to be a great addition to the Switch 2’s collection.
