Two weeks later, Nintendo announced that the retail price for both Switch 2 consoles and games would remain unchanged. To offset costs, there was a slight increase in the price of accessories. The good news is, pre-orders will start again in the US and Canada on April 24th through popular retailers such as GameStop, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy. For those who are eager to secure their pre-order, the My Nintendo Store will begin accepting orders via an email lottery system from May 8th.
Even though other shops such as Target start their pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 at midnight Eastern Time, gaming enthusiasts can still secure a pre-order through GameStop. As per social media updates, GameStop will initiate pre-orders for both Switch 2 consoles and related accessories on Thursday, April 24, starting at 11:00 AM Eastern (8:00 AM Pacific). This timeline coincides with the retailer’s stores being open during regular business hours.

Apart from online pre-orders through GameStop’s website, customers can also place pre-orders in person at selected stores, as long as stocks last.
