Take the Fight to Hell With the Realmwalker Event in Diablo 4

As a seasoned veteran of the Diablo universe, I must say that the introduction of the Realmwalker event in Diablo 4 has truly elevated the gameplay experience to new heights. The sheer scale and complexity of these colossal demonic turtles are simply awe-inspiring, reminiscent of the epic battles I’ve faced in my countless hours of gaming.

In the thrilling Season 6 of Diablo 4, I’ve been excitedly immersed in a plethora of fresh mechanics and an extensive revamp of numerous game systems. One particular feature that has caught my attention is the Regular Sanctuary-wide occurrence known as the Realmwalker event. If you dare to vanquish the malevolent forces of Hell, the victor will be richly rewarded – probably as a Spiritborn. Here’s what I’ve gathered about the Realmwalker event in Diablo 4!

What is the New Realmwalker Event?

As the rage of Mephisto spreads across Sanctuary, so too do his forces of Hell. One of the most formidable enemies in his legion is the Realmwalker—a lumbering colossi that resembles an armored, demonic turtle with a portal to Oblivion on its back. They’re not as powerful as a World Boss, but still potent enough to cause problems.

Should you manage to defeat a Realmwalker, their remains will create a gateway to the Seething Realm – an exclusive dungeon for this season, which contains Seething Opal Elixirs as rare drops.

How to Beat the Realmwalker

The Realmwalker fight occurs across three stages, with the first stage proving the most annoying. To start with, the Realmwalker is utterly invulnerable to damage. You must defeat the Bloodhound Guardians protecting the Realmwalker to deal any damage. Then, the monster spawns Hatred Spires that power up its abilities. Defeat those promptly to squash its Kamehameha-like powers.

After removing the supporting structures, focus on attacking the monstrous offspring using an axe (or two) relentlessly until it collapses.

When Does the Realmwalker Spawn?

Every 15 minutes, new colossal beasts emerge randomly in different parts of Sanctuary. In Nahantu, another one appears every hour, offering southern players a chance to battle this menace. Keep an eye on your map! A fresh green marker labeled “Rising Hatred” will guide you towards the Realmwalker’s location.

While you’re busy taking down a Realmwalker, don’t forget to keep an eye out for Angelbreath. You always need some for crafting elixirs!
