Take-Two Plans To “Support” Nintendo Switch 2

According to Take-Two Interactive’s recent financial conference call on February 6, their CEO, Strauss Zelnick, mentioned their intention to offer support for the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 following its release. In contrast to past years, Nintendo is currently in a unique position, as suggested by Zelnick.

According to Zelnick, although they previously backed Nintendo when it was logical, there appears to be a slight shift in circumstances now.

During the conversation, he pointed out, “Indeed, our bond with Nintendo has been quite enduring. We’ve consistently backed their platform when it aligned with each specific launch. Previously, Nintendo’s platforms were predominantly targeted towards a younger demographic, which is mirrored in our release timeline.

Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that the Switch console, including a potential future version, caters to a wide range of audiences. Notably, Civilization VII is currently accessible on this platform. Although we don’t have any exclusive details at the moment, it’s reasonable to anticipate that we will continue to support the Switch.

One major point of curiosity surrounding the Switch 2 is which games will be made compatible with the console. Although titles like Grand Theft Auto 6 and Borderlands 4 have been confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, there’s a glimmer of anticipation among players that these games might eventually be playable on the dual-purpose system as well.

Regarding Grand Theft Auto 6, Zelnick confirmed once more that the game is on track for its launch this autumn.
