Tarkov Dev’s New Game Could Be Revealed on February 1st

Recently, Nikita Buyanov, the head of Battlestate Games, shared puzzling pictures and riddles on social media. This led to the discovery of a new website featuring a small game that appears to be hinting at a new project called COR3.

A new website has appeared, featuring only a countdown timer and a fuzzy video. When clarified, the video seems to show a first-person shooter game that pans out to reveal an entire planet. The countdown ends on February 1st, and most people expect to learn more about the game then.

What is COR3, and Why is it Exciting?

Nikita Buyanov has been a key figure in developing Escape from Tarkov for the past ten years. He’s deeply committed to the game, as he shared with us during a recent interview on our Access Granted series.

He recently started posting a series of mysterious pictures and puzzles on social media, and his followers immediately began trying to solve them.

It didn’t take long to discover a website – an engaging, interactive experience that puts users inside a post-apocalyptic bunker. This bunker features a vintage-style computer system filled with background information, clues, and details about the game’s world. Currently, we don’t really know what COR3 is, but most people believe it’s a new project from Buyanov.

We’re referring to ‘Buyanov,’ not Battlestate Games, because there’s currently no evidence linking Battlestate to the COR3 project. The COR3 trademark is registered to Nikita, and he’s the only one publicly sharing information about it.

A timer on the website is counting down to February 1st at 3 PM GMT / 10 AM EST. When it reaches zero, something will likely be announced by Buyanov and his collaborators – though the exact details remain a mystery.

COR3 seems to be a game set in a different reality where Earth has been through a major disaster. It features elements like space travel, pirates, and lost ships, which are very different from the gameplay of Escape from Tarkov, a popular extraction shooter.

Though the story takes place far in the future, the COR3 website featured realistic details, such as armor similar to what we use today and conventional computers.
