Tarkov Technical Malfunction Wipes Player Profiles

As a long-time Escape from Tarkov player, I must say this recent technical glitch has left me more bewildered than a level 4 Scav encountering a high-level PMC. My digital world, my sanctuary, has been turned upside down by this unexpected bug that’s wiped out countless hours of hard-earned progress.

Battlestate Games is currently facing an unwanted technical glitch that’s affecting the accounts of over 200,000 gamers globally. This problem, which is causing some players to lose their progress during gameplay, has sparked widespread disappointment among the gaming community. It’s important to note that this issue isn’t related to a scheduled wipe or its implementation, but rather an unexpected bug that could potentially pose challenges for Battlestate Games to rectify.

Well, That’s Awkward

Currently, I’m having trouble even getting Escape from Tarkov to launch via Battlestate Games’ launcher. Those of us who managed to get in were abruptly kicked out, and it seems like countless others are reporting their profiles being wiped clean. At the moment, I’m unsure if every Tarkov player has experienced this problem, but it’s causing quite a stir within the gaming community.

It’s uncertain whether this problem affected both Player-vs-Environment (PvE) and Player-vs-Player (PvP) environments, but it is generally believed to be a game-wide issue, implying that both environments have suffered from it. This turn of events is particularly damaging for PvE gamers, as the main attraction of this mode – often requiring payment – was its promise of no regular wipes. However, due to this recent malfunction, players may now find themselves subjected to a wipe after potentially extended periods of gameplay. In simpler terms, the issue significantly impacts PvE players who were assured they wouldn’t need frequent resets, but the latest problem has forced them into a reset after possibly weeks of gaming.

I’m really sorry for the inconvenience, but due to a technical glitch, some game data from player profiles got lost. Unfortunately, it’ll take a while to fix this issue and restore our profiles.

As a seasoned gamer immersed in EFT (EscapefromTarkov), I find myself at an impressive level with a small fortune of roubles, enough to make any high-roller green with envy. My inventory brims with kits, keys, keycards, and rare items that would make any collector drool. Quests upon quests have been completed, and the stories they tell could fill volumes.

The majority of players are now asking Battlestate to reset the game and implement the upcoming changes. At present, the game will return to its original state before being wiped again in a few weeks. This glitch has erased the lifetime stats of some players, including those who have been playing Escape from Tarkov for several years.

This isn’t a good look when Arena Breakout: Infinite enters early access in just a few days.

We’ve reached out to Battlestate Games to hopefully get the full scope of this issue.
