Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown Announced

As a child of the ’80s and ’90s, I’ve been through many iterations of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). From the original comic books to the iconic cartoon series and movies, these green ninjas have always held a special place in my heart. Now, with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown, it seems that Strange Scaffold is about to take this beloved franchise to new heights – or should I say, sewers?

A fresh Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) tactical game is coming soon. This upcoming game, called “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown,” is a strategy title developed by Strange Scaffold, the team known for El Paso, Elsewhere, Clickolding, and I Am Your Beast.

In the first strategy-based Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, titled “Tactical Takedown,” the story unfolds following the demise of Splinter and Shredder, with a new leader emerging within the Foot Clan. This single-player game is structured around 20 levels, each dedicated to a unique character. As the game progresses, turns are taken, causing the levels themselves to undergo mutations.

In Tactical Takedown, the visuals take on a comic-book aesthetic, featuring collectible figurines and detailed diorama settings. Furthermore, players can tailor unique move sets for each Ninja Turtle, allowing them to personalize their gaming experience.

The game’s description states: “This marks a new phase for Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael.” As the Turtles mature, it’s not only a matter of growing older… it’s about growing distant from each other.

The launch date is yet to be disclosed, but feel free to add it to your Steam wishlist right away! For a sneak peek, you can watch the game’s trailer that I’ve linked below.
