As a gamer, I’m thrilled to announce that starting today, I can add Lidia Sobieska to my roster in Tekken 8. This new playable character brings the total number of fighters up to an impressive 34. Originating from Poland, Lidia is famously known as the “Warrior Prime Minister.” With unwavering bravery and a strong political stance, she tirelessly seeks justice for all. Determined not to back down against unjust power, Lidia aims to earn the trust of people worldwide.
Lidia Sobieska is the second new fighter added to Tekken 8 following Eddy Gordo. This week, Bandai Namco announced that Heihachi will make a comeback in the game as part of the free update, titled “The King of the Iron Fist Resurrection.” For those who are new to Tekken 8 and its roster of fighters, this is where you can learn about their backgrounds within the series.
When Tekken 8 debuted at the year’s beginning, we expressed that this game represents a fresh fighter in its emphasis on aggression and precision. The Heat Gauge is an excellent innovation since it allows inflicting greater damage but only within a limited time frame. Moreover, it cannot be easily exploited. The storyline boasts an enormous scope, uniting every fighter for an epic narrative that traverses all continents. The abundance of modes and content, particularly for solo players, is commendable. Visually, the game is stunning, and the seamless transition from cutscenes to combat always takes me by surprise. Lastly, Tekken Ball returns, allowing you to engage in brutal volleyball matches as a bear fighting a robot.
