The “Test Case” quest, added in the Flashpoint update for ARC Raiders, is a straightforward task you receive from Apollo. It involves collecting three items dropped by ARC enemies and eliminating a Firefly. You won’t need to travel to different areas or interact with specific objects to complete it. This guide provides details on the quest and the rewards you’ll earn in ARC Raiders.
Test Case Quest Walkthrough in ARC Raiders
Your first goal is to obtain a Hornet Driver. To do this, you’ll need to defeat a Hornet on the upper level of the map. They’re quite common, so you should encounter one shortly after starting a new game. If you can’t find one nearby, a simple way to make one appear on most maps is to locate a Snitch.
Okay, so there are these flying drones called ARCs, and they’re basically looking for enemies. You gotta shoot the little ‘Snitch’ drone they find, but not destroy it – that’ll call in more ARCs, and one of them is a Hornet. You absolutely want to take down that Hornet because it carries the Driver, and you need to stash that Driver in your Safe Pocket ASAP.
You can also use a Snitch Scanner if you have one on you to call down flying ARCs.
Next, you’ll need the Fireball Burner, which is dropped by Fireballs. You can usually find these creatures inside buildings and other structures. If you’re playing on the Buried City map, the Hospital, Research Building, and subways are good places to look – sometimes they appear near broken escalators or on the platforms. Stella Montis is another option, but you won’t find as many of the flying ARCs required for the quest there. Once you defeat a Fireball and get the Burner, you can move on to the next step.
The final two goals are to locate and destroy a Firefly, then collect the Firefly Burner. Fireflies are tougher enemies that were added to the game after its release, with stronger armor than standard flying enemies. To defeat them, target either the yellow canister or the armored plates on their sides using a weapon that can pierce through ARC armor.
Once destroyed, loot it to find the Burner and deliver all three items to Apollo to receive:
