As a longtime fan of Eden Games and their racing titles, I’m thrilled to hear about their latest project, Cosmic Royale. With a rich history dating back to 1998, this French developer has consistently delivered high-quality racing experiences across various platforms. Their newest offering, a battle royale kart racer, is an intriguing concept that combines the excitement of elimination races with the unpredictability of a battle royale format.

A new game titled “Cosmic Royale,” developed by Eden Games in France, has been announced. This upcoming project combines the excitement of battle royale games with the fun of kart racing, set for release on personal computers towards the end of 2024.

Established in 1998, Eden Games initially specialized in developing games for Nintendo 64. Later, they expanded their horizons to create titles for multiple consoles, PCs, and mobile devices. Throughout their career, this French company based in Lyon has primarily focused on racing games, such as the renowned “Test Drive Unlimited” and the popular “V-Rally” series. They also contributed to the PlayStation version of “Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed” and the 2003 action-adventure game “Kya: Dark Lineage.” Additionally, they produced the “Gear.Club” franchise.

Cosmic Royale To Offer 40-Player Battle Royale Matches

The French game company, known for its racing skills, is back in action with “Cosmic Royale,” a new karting game that combines racing and battle royale elements. Up to 40 players can participate in matches, which involve several rounds of elimination on challenging obstacle courses. The final phase leads to an exciting showdown. Although there will be “party royale” goals, every player’s main objective is to survive and be the last driver still racing.

Cosmic Royale Beta Starting Soon

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for kart racers, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about Cosmic Royale. This vibrant PC title, developed by Eden Games in collaboration with Animoca Brands, is set to drop exclusively on the Epic Games Store come Q4 2024. And here’s the best part – it’s going to be free-to-play!

I’ve had the pleasure of following Eden Games’ exciting developments, and in an exclusive interview with Game Rant, their Marketing Manager Marion Choufa shared some intriguing insights about their latest project, Cosmic Royale. She mentioned that the game has been in production since late 2022 – roughly around when they finished working on Smurfs Kart which was released in November of that year. Regarding expanding Cosmic Royale to other platforms like consoles and mobiles, Marion indicated that currently, there’s no such plan in motion.

Eden Games is set to explore Web3 technologies and blockchain gaming for the first time with their new kart racer battle royale game, which falls under Animoca Brands’ Motorverse digital ownership system. other developers have recently ventured into this realm, resulting in projects such as Ubisoft’s initial foray into blockchain gaming, named Champions Tactics.
