As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the announcement of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown‘s post-launch and year 1 content roadmap has me absolutely thrilled! The promise of multiple seasons, each bringing new activities, vehicles, rewards, and themes every three months is music to my ears.
In a fresh video, Guillaume Guinet, currently Game Director, and Alain Jarniou, Creative Director (previously Game Director of Test Drive Unlimited 2), both from KT Racing, have unveiled the post-launch and first year content plan for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.
The new video is ten minutes long, and offers some information regarding some community requested features such as real estate and housing, motorbikes, and “improved steering wheel rotation angle in-game”.

It appears that the game or platform will have several iterations, each offering fresh “actions, transport methods, incentives, and motifs” every quarter. Starting from September 14th, we have Season 1, which includes:
The Solar Crown game tournament has begun! After the game launch, top-tier players can participate in a sequence of races and intense challenges to advance, accumulate Solar Points, and strive for the title of either Solar King or Queen. This initial season offers 60 player levels, 50 stages of progression for clans named Sharps/Streets, and a complimentary Solar Pass with 25 levels that grants various prizes such as cosmetics and an exclusive vehicle.
Moving onto season 2, “Ibiza city makes its comeback”:
As a fervent fan, I’m thrilled to share that the much-loved locale of yesteryears, Ibiza (or Eivissa as it’s known locally), makes its grand comeback in TDUSC. After 13 years, this iconic spot is more stunning than ever! Upon its return, players will have the opportunity to explore the city and its surrounding areas, all meticulously recreated at a 1:1 scale using the advanced KT Engine. This offers a unique and enriching experience distinct from Hong Kong Island, available 3 months after the game’s launch. Accompanying this season is an exclusive clan progression limited to the island, featuring 20 new levels. Additionally, players can look forward to a Solar Pass, fresh rewards, and unique cars – including 5 redesigned models specifically for this occasion.
Season 3 is subtitled “Clan War”, and is a “constantly evolving game mode”;
“The third installment focuses on a struggle between two contrasting groups – the refined and wealthy Sharps, and the rebellious, edgy Streets. Their turf wars unfold across Hong Kong Island and Ibiza/Eivissa. This season introduces 30 additional levels for clans to progress through, along with fresh seasonal content updates.”
Season 4 is “The Casino, an iconic location in the Unlimited series”:
As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled to announce that we’re back to the beloved Casino in Season 4, wrapping up Year 1 of Test Drive Unlimited 2. This time, it’s the Solar Crown Casino, a place where fortunes are made and memories are crafted. In this vibrant gaming hub, I can bet my virtual earnings on games like poker and slot machines. The Casino is packed with 50 levels for players to conquer, and as you climb these ranks, you’ll have the chance to win unique new cars, stylish cosmetics, and exclusive rewards. It’s time to roll the dice and see what fate has in store!
Alongside the four seasons, Year 1 will receive improvements aimed at enriching the gameplay, which includes refining camera angles and steering wheel animations in first-person perspective. The TDUSC team is dedicated to maintaining the game’s vitality for a long period, taking player suggestions and feedback into account. Potential additions like Real Estate and motorcycles, as requested by fans, are under consideration at this time.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will be available for play on Personal Computers, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S and X starting September 10th.
