Xbox Game Pass members have at least four major first-party Microsoft games to anticipate in 2026, and many more titles will be added next year. 2025 has been a mixed year for the service – it saw some of its best day-one releases, including potential Game of the Year winner Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong. However, the recent price increase for Xbox Game Pass has been unpopular with subscribers.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is getting more expensive. Microsoft recently raised the monthly price to $30, which upset many subscribers. While Microsoft is trying to justify the increase by adding new games – including popular titles like Hogwarts Legacy and promising more games available on their release day – the price hike still caused a backlash. Microsoft plans to add over 75 new day-one games to the Ultimate subscription by 2026, and several large titles are already confirmed for release next year.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members have a lot to look forward to in 2026! All four of Xbox’s biggest franchises – Halo, Gears of War, Forza Horizon, and Fable – will be available on the service the moment they launch. Specifically, Halo: Campaign Evolved, the Gears of War prequel Gears of War: E-Day, the open-world racing game Forza Horizon 6 (set in Japan), and the Fable reboot are all planned as day-one releases. While exact release dates haven’t been announced, Microsoft is celebrating Xbox’s 25th anniversary in 2026 with these major new games, all included with Game Pass.
While Fable, Gears of War: E-Day, Halo: Combat Evolved, and Forza Horizon 6 are just a few of the games headed to Game Pass in 2026, there’s much more on the way. Menace will launch on PC Game Pass on February 5th, and High on Life 2 is scheduled for February 13th. Beyond those, specific release dates for other 2026 Game Pass titles are still unknown, but several more games are currently planned for release next year.

In addition to the four major games Xbox is publishing and the two with confirmed release dates, many other new titles are coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2026. I’m particularly excited about At Fate’s End, Denshattack, Persona 4 Revival, Replaced, Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, Subnautica 2, and Super Meat Boy 3D. However, keep in mind that over 75 day-one games are planned for Game Pass next year, and only 22 have been revealed so far. There will be plenty of new games to play, but it’s still uncertain whether they’ll make the recent price increase worthwhile.
