The Alters Delayed To 2025 By 11 Bit Studios

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon hearing about the delay of The Alters by 11 Bit Studios. On one hand, I understand the need for quality over speed, and the developers deserve all the time they need to create a masterpiece. However, as a patient gamer who has waited years for some games, I can’t help but groan at the thought of another delay pushing the release into 2025.

Originally, I was all set to dive into this game next November 2024. But then, they decided to push back the release date. You see, they wanted to ensure the game is as polished and top-notch as possible, so they’re taking more time for refinement and working on some killer marketing strategies. So, while I have to wait a bit longer, I believe it’ll be worth it when we finally get our hands on this improved masterpiece!

11 bit studios president Przemyslaw Marszal stated through a release (thanks to Bankier), “The timeline for completing ‘The Alters’ was incredibly tight.” He expressed concern about whether the developers would have sufficient time to complete all tasks while maintaining the quality we all anticipate. After so many years of development, it’s unnecessary for us to take the risk that the game may have any flaws.

In the first quarter of 2025, the game is set to debut, but the level of competition it will encounter depends on its specific release date within that period. Notably, Civilization 7, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Monster Hunter Wilds, Avowed, and several other games are also scheduled for launch in Q1 2025.

Once it’s launched, The Alters can be played on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, as well as personal computers. Additionally, it will be accessible through Xbox Game Pass.
