I examined ten recent Pokemon Pocket tournaments, each boasting more than 100 participants and at least one utilizing a Darkness-type deck. The data indicates that this archetype doesn’t have an advantage: On average, Darkness decks ended up in position 61.3, never making it into the top 50.
The typical representation of this character’s status within its strategic group hasn’t been stable. How One Card Ruined Darkness Decks
In earlier periods like the Genetic Apex era, Darkness cards didn’t pose much of a threat due to their vulnerability to Fighting-type Pokemon. However, this changed with the introduction of the mini-set, Mythical Island, and the arrival of a new card, the latest Golem. If it weren’t for Golem, Scolipede and other Darkness cards might have been more prominent in the gaming meta, but now their potential has been diminished.
At present, Golem teams are dominating PvP battles and tournaments, leaving very few chances for the Darkness type of Pokémon to succeed.
