As a huge fan of both Minecraft and Stranger Things, I was so excited to play the new DLC created by Blockception! It basically brings the whole town of Hawkins, Indiana to life inside Minecraft, but in that classic blocky style. They’ve included all the important locations from the show and even the characters themselves. You can go on quests and unlock cool cosmetic items that recreate some of the most memorable scenes from the Netflix series. Honestly, with the show over, it’s a fantastic way to keep experiencing that world and maybe even deal with the ending!
Minecraft’s Stranger Things DLC Covers Four Seasons
This new content focuses on the first four seasons of Stranger Things, offering quests based on each one. You’ll find iconic locations like Starcourt Mall, Hopper’s cabin, Mirkwood Forest, and the gate from season two. It’s a fun nod to the show and a chance to revisit familiar moments. And, naturally, the eerie Upside Down is included, as it wouldn’t be a true Stranger Things experience without it.

As a huge Stranger Things fan, I’m really excited about this Minecraft DLC! It’s awesome that you can play as the main group, but even cooler that they included side characters like Murray and Dr. Brenner. Seriously, it feels like they’ve covered all the characters we’ve come to love from the show, which is exactly what I wanted. And it’s not just cosmetic – each character has unique abilities that help you tackle the puzzles and challenges in the game. It really adds to the experience!
The Stranger Things DLC for Minecraft is now available for $8.99 in the Minecraft Marketplace. Please note that it’s designed for the Bedrock Edition only and isn’t currently playable on Nintendo Switch.
Minecraft’s Stranger Things DLC Could Also Inspire Some Great Builds

The Show May Be Over, But Stranger Things Still Lives On in Other Corners of Pop Culture
Even though the main story has ended, Stranger Things will likely remain a significant part of pop culture for years to come. While not flawless, the show always delivered a touching story about the power of friendship and how important it is to have people to lean on during tough times. It skillfully used 80s nostalgia without becoming a joke, and it played a huge role in proving that streaming services could deliver truly captivating television. Many viewers grew up with the characters of Stranger Things, so saying goodbye to Eleven and the rest of The Party feels like saying goodbye to old friends.
Two new shows based on Stranger Things are being developed. One is an animated series called Stranger Things: Tales from 85, which fills in the story between seasons two and three. The other will explore the origins of Vecna, revealing how Henry Creel became the villain, as confirmed by the creators of the show, the Duffer Brothers.
While there aren’t a lot of video games based on Stranger Things, the recent Minecraft collaboration shows the show’s world will likely continue through partnerships with other games. Given how popular Stranger Things remains, it would be unexpected if these collaborations stopped when the show ends. Only time will tell, but fans of both Stranger Things and Minecraft have something new to enjoy right now.
