Yet, this blessing came with a grim condition: One of them must willingly sacrifice themselves for the other to receive the blessing.
From the moment his mother traded him for a few coins long ago, Julian had never experienced affection. However, that all changed when he encountered Mira, who genuinely cared for him. Impulsively, Julian pledged himself to the Sea Mother. Just as he was about to meet this enigmatic figure, Mira performed an extraordinary act – she sliced open her abdomen and delivered a baby girl.
