The Biggest Game of 2025 Is Now Free to Play for a Limited Time

The free trial for Battlefield 6 Season 1 is now live, letting players experience a significant part of this year’s popular game at no cost for a limited time. This is the first time Battlefield 6 is available to play for free, and the trial will run until early December 2025.

Released on October 10th, Battlefield 6 is the top-selling game in the US so far in 2025. Its main competitor, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, isn’t selling as well as the previous Call of Duty game, so Battlefield 6, created by DICE, has a good chance of staying the best-selling game for the rest of the year.

Battlefield 6 Season 1 Free Trial Now Live Across All Platforms

Just over a month after its release, Battlefield 6 is available to play for free for a limited time. This free trial began November 25th at 4 AM Pacific Time and is accessible on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. To play, download the free battle royale game Battlefield RedSec, which now includes several Battlefield 6 maps and game modes. The trial ends December 2nd at 4 AM Pacific Time.

What’s Included in Battlefield 6 Season 1 Free Trial

This offer gives you access to several multiplayer modes: Close Quarters Battle, Initiation Breakthrough, and All-Out Warfare. These include popular modes like Breakthrough, Conquest, Team Deathmatch, and the limited-time Sabotage, which lasts for two rounds. You can try it out on three maps: Siege of Cairo (available since launch), plus the newer additions, Eastwood and Blackwell Fields. Any progress you make during the Battlefield 6 Season 1 free trial will be saved if you decide to buy the full game. Also, if you’ve already played RedSec, your levels, rank, unlocked items, and cosmetic customizations will be available in the trial.

Several Battlefield 6 Freebies Are Currently Available As Well

Alongside the free-to-play event, Battlefield 6 is giving away a special cosmetic item for a limited time. If you log in now, you’ll automatically receive the Lethal Force skin for the M2010 ESR Sniper Rifle in your inbox, which you can find in the main menu. This offer lasts until November 30th. You can also get the Lethal Force skin through Battlefield RedSec and use it in both games.

PlayStation Plus members can currently get the Battlefield 6 Rogue Ops pack for free, alongside this offer. Normally costing $19.99, this pack includes 11 cosmetic items and became available on October 28th with the launch of Battlefield RedSec. There’s no announced end date for this free offer, so it seems like it will be available for a while.
