How to Beat Master Du in Crimson Desert

Best Attack Pattern to Beat Master Du

  1. Use L3+R3 with Focus Level 3 to build Spirit and make Master Du fight in slow-motion.
  2. Use L1 to parry or Circle to dodge his attacks.
  3. When exposed, use L1+R1+R2 for Blinding Flash Finishers and L1+R2 for Slash Attacks, which build stun and damage.
  4. Repeat this process to easily wipe out Master Du thanks to just two skills.

Master Du Phase One Attacks

Master Du will use his staff to stab and swing, which are attacks that can be parried.

Master Du will leap onto the pillars and quickly move around overhead. Activate Focus to briefly slow down time, allowing you to ignore him and concentrate solely on the red flash that appears. When you see it, quickly dodge to avoid the attack.

Master Du performs a powerful, unavoidable attack – a green laser beam that instantly defeats you, no matter how much health you have. To survive, you absolutely must dodge to the side as he begins to shoot, indicated by him raising his palm forward.

Master Du Phase Two Attacks

  1. Master Du’s attacks can still be parried, but he’s more aggressive with longer combo chains.
  2. Master Du will again jump up the pillars and dash between them, but he’s far quicker. Like phase one, ignore where he is and focus on the red glint that appears above Kliff, as this indicates when you should roll out of the way.
  3. Master Du’s laser beam attack will extend 4 to 5 times, so make sure you’re rolling out of the way whenever he extends his palm outwards to fire.
  4. His attacks in Phase 2 are basically the same, except longer and faster. The attack method you should use against him remains the same as Phase 1.
