Night City is a joy to explore, with its towering buildings, hidden details, and quirky references. You’ll spend a lot of time discovering everything the city has to offer before fully experiencing the impactful and bleak story. Prepare for a visually stunning, neon-drenched game that will pull at your heartstrings.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Many players will likely consider Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 a true masterpiece, and that’s understandable. The game offers an incredibly immersive medieval experience, unlike anything else available. As a follow-up to the already excellent first game, you once again play as Henry, honing your combat skills in a remarkably detailed and realistic system. The battles feel a little smoother than in the first game, which is great, but what really shines are the characters. Their interactions are just fantastic – funny, heartfelt, and really bring the whole group to life. It’s clear the developers put a ton of love into this, and it feels like a beautiful tribute to the original Final Fantasy 7.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

Among recent Assassin’s Creed games, Odyssey really shines. It successfully added more role-playing features, like choices in conversations and the ability to play as either of two characters. It’s basically a sandbox where you make the rules, with a little bit of story and cool expeditions thrown in to keep things fresh. I remember how bare it felt at launch, but the developers have consistently added tons of content over the years. It’s one of those games, like Minecraft or Subnautica, that just sparks your imagination and lets you create whatever you want.

Tier 4

Hogwarts Legacy

Okay, so let’s talk about Hogwarts Legacy. Honestly, this is the Harry Potter game we’ve all been waiting for. The school itself is incredible – the best 3D version I’ve ever seen, and you can explore everything, finding secrets around every corner. The combat is really fun, and mastering magic feels great. The world is massive too, with all the places you’d expect, like Hogsmeade and the Forbidden Forest. You can even learn dark magic, raise magical creatures, and craft your own gear – they really nailed the fan service. But, it just felt a little…shallow. No Quidditch was a bummer, and after a while, the puzzles and dungeons started to feel a bit repetitive. It was amazing, but it needed a little extra something to make it truly top-tier.

Starfield

When Starfield first launched, it received a mixed reaction. While it was a typical Bethesda game, it didn’t quite capture the strong environmental storytelling the studio is known for. The game’s automatically generated content was technically impressive, but felt repetitive in a role-playing game where players expect to discover unique, carefully designed locations. However, recent updates – including more points of interest, two substantial story expansions, and several quality-of-life improvements – have transformed Starfield into a compelling sci-fi RPG. The questlines for the Ryujin, Vanguard, and Crimson Fleet factions are particularly well-made and represent some of Bethesda’s best work.
