
In Little Nightmares, players can help a character known as the Runaway Kid escape the Maw. His story begins with the first downloadable content, The Depths, and there are hidden collectibles to find as you explore. The chapter opens with the Kid experiencing a frightening dream of drowning, mirroring the beginning of Six’s journey.
Okay, so I just woke up from that crazy dream and I’m back in the nursery – the place where I first saw the Janitor. I jumped down from the bed and headed left, and that’s where I spotted the enemy down on the floor below.
Go into the room and carefully climb through the opening in the floor. Turn right and follow the cages until you reach a gaze that can turn you to stone.
If the security camera looks to its left, quickly move to the back of the room, finding a spot where it can’t see you. Then, position yourself near the young girl who is holding a flashlight.
When she begins to run and hide, follow her. Continue until you reach the bathroom, where you’ll find a girl climbing through the window near the cage.
Drag the cage close to the sink and climb it to open the first flotsam.
Next, push the cage closer to the other cages to climb them and go down the makeshift rope.
Move ahead and jump into the hole to land in the water. Then, pick up the suitcase and pull it over to the platform.
Go up and head through the planks to pick up a flashlight.
Carefully crawl through the opening and begin running, because leeches will attempt to bite the Kid. Use the bars to climb and jump across gaps to get to the top.
Swim across and pull out the wooden board. Continue swimming into a wider space, but be careful – something is hidden underwater and is following you.
Continue forward until you find an empty swimming pool. Pick up the item nearby and throw it at the leeches that are blocking the drain.
Go back a few steps, then jump over the leeches to avoid them and go through the hole.
Climb the bars and pull the lever on the left side to activate the water level machine.
Pull the other lever once to slightly raise the water level, and jump into the water.
Head into the small opening to the right and open the second flotsam.
Raise the metal bars and pull the horizontal lever to the left twice, but not completely. This will raise the water level. Then, jump into the water, swim forward, and climb the ladder.
Head through the square vent in the corner, and you’ll find a large pool. Be careful, though – there’s a hidden monster swimming beneath the surface!
Use the available objects like crates, furniture, and barrels to stay out of the water. But hurry – the monster will continuously shake the Kid, trying to knock him off!
Once you’ve climbed one of the big water tanks, look for a floating container in the corner of the small platform to your right. Dive into the water and open the third container you find.
Move to the next platform and climb the bars to pull the lever, which will lift a bag from the water. Jump onto the bag, walk around it, and grab the hook. Then, swing back and forth until you reach another platform.
Toss the fish to the left to keep the monster busy, then quickly swim to the right.
To earn the Fun & Games Ahead Trophy in Little Nightmares, pick up the large white object in the next room and toss it into the bucket.
Step onto the platform and slide the wooden plank across to create a bridge. Locate the wobbly plank and stand on the left side of it – this will lift the plank on the right. Then, quickly jump to the door and open it.
First, go to the next room and pull the lever to empty the water. Then, go down and use the chair to climb onto the table. Finally, push the jar to break it and reveal a key.
The jar also contained a leech, so quickly use the key to open the door and proceed.
Be careful not to fall into the next room – the water has electricity running through it. Push the box into the water, then hit the button to lower the water level.
Position the box you moved and the one already in the water so you can use them as a safe pathway to the other side.
Once you’re done, go up and push the button to raise the water and jump to the other side.
Continue forward until you reach a large body of water where a hidden monster lurks below the surface. Use the floating debris to climb onto the nearest platform.
Quickly swim in the opposite direction and climb onto anything you can to escape the enemy.
Finally, climb onto a dresser and then jump onto the rocking boat. Keep swimming to the opposite side and climb up the wooden planks.
Run and jump to the hidden platform on the left, then open the fourth floating crate. After that, go back to the previous platform and climb the remaining wooden planks.
Swim to the right platform and climb up. Then, walk across the wooden planks and push the lever into the water.
Dive again and climb to the left one this time, and press the button to decrease the water level.
Locate the lever, throw it onto the suitcase, and push the suitcase closer to the left platform.
Push the button again to raise the water, and then throw the lever to the left platform.
Move the suitcase towards the center, then pull the lever all the way to open the door. Hurry to the other side and slide through.
Leap across the platforms, then push the door at the end to fall into the water. Next, use the floating items to cross the water and climb onto the red buoy.
Use the grappling hook to swing across and gain momentum, allowing you to reach the platform on the right. Once there, pull the lever to activate the TV.
Swing across to the left platform using the hanging light, then pull the lever to raise the water.
The monster is about to appear and break the platform beneath your feet, so get ready to swim to the platform with the lever.
After resting for a bit, dive back in the water and climb the platform with the TV.
The creature will also attempt to break it, so immediately submerge the TV in water to defeat it.
Go straight ahead and walk up to the gated door, but don’t go up the stairs yet. Remove two planks and open the fifth piece of debris to unlock the “Not Alone” Trophy.
To finish The Depths chapter and earn the “So Close” Achievement, you need to intentionally let the Janitor catch you after climbing the stairs and ladder. You can find The Kid locked in a cage close to where Six is in chapter 2.
