The Division 2 Throwback Event Guide: Rewards, End Date, & More

The Division 2 Throwback Event Guide: Rewards, End Date, & More

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent in the post-apocalyptic world of Washington D.C., I can’t help but feel a mix of nostalgia and excitement as The Division 2 prepares for its grand transition to Seasons 2.0. The Throwback event is like a sweet, albeit bittersweet reminder of the epic adventures I’ve had, and the exotic loot I’ve longed for but missed along the way.

In a twist, “The Division 2” is moving to Seasons 2.0, but before that shift, it’s offering assured drops of some top-tier exotics as part of the Throwback event. The purpose of this event is to reacquaint both returning and longtime players with the previously launched Legacy Manhunt missions.

In the current operation within Division 2, players must repeat the critical missions related to the specific Manhunt Target, successfully complete them, and secure the promised exotic reward for this season. This is an excellent chance to obtain any elusive exotics that you might be missing just before Season 2.0 launches.

Which Exotics are Part of the Throwback Event in Division 2?

As an avid fan, I can’t contain my excitement as each season of Manhunt in The Division 2 brings fresh exotics, either dropped by the main target or earned through diligent farming. The Throwback event is set to kick off on October 8th and run till October 28th, with Manhunt mission projects rotating every two days. Here’s a comprehensive guide on the Division 2 Throwback Event to help us secure those coveted exotic rewards and complete specific Manhunt missions.

Be certain to finish the specified Throwback Event task on time, as acquiring the promised rare drop depends on it. If the deadline passes without completion, the opportunity to earn that exotic drop through the event will expire, and players won’t be able to do so afterwards.

How To Replay Manhunt Climax Missions for Division 2 Throwback Event?

As a fan, I discovered that quickly warping to a mission where a Manhunt target once resided and replaying it doesn’t allow for completing the Climax version of that specific mission. To initiate a Manhunt Climax mission correctly, here’s what players should do:

  1. Open the Map in Division 2.
  2. Head over to the Manhunt tab.
  3. Toggle the Legacy Manhunt section in the Manhunt tab.
  4. Choose the Manhunt Target that’s part of the ongoing project. At the time of writing, it’s ‘Jupiter.’
  5. After choosing the manhunt target, hold the accept button to fast-travel right outside the Manhunt specific mission.

Players can now dive straight into Division 2 missions featuring the Manhunt variant, earning them an assured exotic drop as part of the current project’s plans.

Alongside completing the Manhunt Climax missions, the game will also feature a series of five consecutive Global events during the Division 2 Throwback Event. This gives players an opportunity to acquire Seasonal Caches from earlier seasons, which have an additional 10% chance of containing exotic items. It seems like a fitting send-off for the current seasonal structure in the game before the upcoming Seasons 2.0 update is introduced.
