The Division: Definitive Edition Could Be Coming Soon

A banner discovered in Japan suggests Ubisoft is preparing to announce a complete edition of The Division, likely called ‘The Division: Definitive Edition‘.

Ubisoft is making good progress on the next installment in the Division series. According to creative director Julian Gerighty, The Division 3 is looking incredibly promising and could be as groundbreaking as the original game. There’s also a possibility that Ubisoft will release new content for the first Division game in 2026.

The Division: Definitive Edition Banner Surfaces Online

I was so excited to see a post from domen0204 on X (formerly Twitter) showing a banner for The Division: Definitive Edition at an event in Japan! It’s got a lot of us fans hoping that Ubisoft will finally make an official announcement about it, especially with the game’s 10th anniversary coming up. And there’s good news for The Division 2 too – the developers have confirmed they’re adding a ‘Realism mode’ sometime in March 2026! Can’t wait!

The Division 2’s Realism Mode

The Division 2 is adding a ‘Realism mode’ designed for fast-paced action. It will make combat more challenging with quicker takedowns and weapon damage that reflects the power of each bullet type. This mode aims for a more immersive experience by simplifying the user interface, limiting on-screen information, removing automatic health recovery, and shortening ability cooldowns. The developers hint that this is just the beginning of a series of updates and surprises coming to the game.

Hey everyone! I just saw the first announcement trailer for The Division 2, which debuted at the 10th anniversary premiere of the first Division! It looks awesome, and this is just the beginning of the celebration – I’m super hyped for what’s next for the whole Division series! #TheDivision2 #FPSDayX
