The Fantastic Four Confirmed For Marvel Rivals Roster

Summary

  • The Fantastic Four additions to Marvel Rivals will have unique class characteristics for each member.
  • Expect individual releases for each hero to acclimate players before the next one is available.
  • NetEase teases team-up possibilities and upcoming crossover events with new skins and holiday-themed content.

Get ready, as Marvel’s original team, The Fantastic Four, will be joining Marvel Rivals in the near future! Today, NetEase announced their inclusion in the game’s roster, with a complete unveiling planned for January 6, 2025.

The announcement also provided a glimpse into the game’s artistic approach by the group, which was quite impressive, much like NetEase’s design of the other characters is well-executed.

Marvel Rivals Fantastic Four First Look

Based on reports from NetEase, it’s expected that the trailer for The Fantastic Four will debut on January 6th at either 8 am PST or 11 am EST (depending on your time zone). Although no official announcement has been made yet, rumors suggest that the team will be included in the first season lineup, which is set to begin sometime this month.

It’s unlikely that all four characters will be launched together. Instead, the game developer, NetEase, might roll out each hero at different times. This is done so the gaming community can gradually get familiarized with each character before the following hero is introduced.

The four team members appear rather decisive about their respective class assignments, except for Mr. Fantastic who seems versatile across multiple roles. Human Torch is likely to become a Damage hero due to his skills, while The Thing appears destined for the Tank role on account of his strength and resilience. Invisible Woman might end up as a Support character. However, Mr. Fantastic stands out because his elastic abilities could make him suitable for any one of these roles – if I had to speculate, I’d say he’ll be another Damage hero, with his elasticity enabling various mobility and damage options.

Here, the intriguing aspect lies in the collaborative efforts of Team-Ups NetEase and the question of whether these creations will only benefit the team or provide additional perks to other characters as well.

In addition to introducing the characters from The Fantastic Four, NetEase has recently unveiled new outfits for Squirrel Girl and Moon Knight which will go on sale starting today. Moreover, there are cross-game events scheduled with other Marvel titles that will commence on January 3rd.

It’s likely that Marvel Rivals will have another event by the end of this month, as it’s the Lunar New Year (also known as Chinese New Year) on January 29, 2025. Since NetEase is a Chinese company, they typically celebrate with special holiday-themed items like skins and other additions for the game.

Stay tuned to TopMob, as we’ll have The Fantastic Four trailer up once it’s available.
