Despite the game’s initial explosive launch, its pace has somewhat eased over the past year. However, Nexon remains dedicated to listening to player feedback, aiming to consistently enhance our gaming experience.
Despite a decline in player count over recent months for the free-to-play loot shooter game, Nexon has persisted in updating it by incorporating requested features from players and providing numerous free rewards to encourage both returning and new players to log in. In fact, Nexon discontinued support for older console generations like The First Descendant, opting instead to focus on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles to deliver enhanced gameplay experiences and improvements. This transformation commences in Season 3, coinciding with the game’s first anniversary.
To mark its first birthday on July 2, 2024, the game The First Descendant is throwing a grand celebration filled with exciting in-game perks and activities. As we gear up for Season 3, players are invited to join the unique First Anniversary event that kicked off on July 3 and continues until August 13. Alongside the debut of the game’s original soundtrack, participants can collect special anniversary tokens by completing daily tasks or achieving a specific goal each day within the game. These tokens can be exchanged with Anais in the Albion social hub for impressive rewards until August 13.
The First Descendant First Anniversary Rewards
After collecting tokens in the game, players have the opportunity to use them at Anais to gain a multitude of exclusive rewards, such as Photo Mode items, themes, emotes, and assorted resource items. Additionally, players can utilize their tokens to unlock a character they prefer, 10 million gold, or 1 million Kuiper Shards for “The First Descendant”. The selection does not include the latest seasonal characters like Serena, Keelan, Hailey, or Ines. Instead, it encompasses every character from the base game. However, players will need to pay 300 Anniversary Tokens to redeem their chosen character.
Alongside their selection, players have the option to pick from a trio of powerful, exceptional weapons as well. These ultimate weapons in The First Descendant are among the strongest and most distinct gear in the game, often demanding a significant amount of resources and farming for crafting. Throughout the event, players can spend 200 Anniversary Tokens to acquire one ultimate weapon up to three times, and they will also have the chance to unlock popular options such as the Thunder Cage, Enduring Legacy, and many more.
